Need help deciding which color Volks

I torn between these 3 color choices for my car and was wondering which Volks TE37 Ultras will match/look better with my Magma Red Z

Yeah, I was kinda leaning towards the Bronze as well but also liked the two other colors. I guess Bronze it is

Curtis_J 03-27-2017 01:42 PM

Good choice, bronze will look great!

I've always liked bronze wheels on a red car.

Nixin 03-27-2017 02:29 PM

Go for something other than bronze, although it seems to be everyone's favourite. Be different, don't conform to the norm!

OptionZero 03-27-2017 03:48 PM

better question is

i hope you're going at least 20x10.5 +22 in front

Face-4 all around or gtfo

it will perfectly match 20x12 +20 rear

SOUTHZZ 03-27-2017 04:21 PM

NONE:
Design wise, better choice is a gunmetal color.Skip the blue shade.
Gloss black is the worst.

Keep in mind, when doing changes like these, what it will look like in the weeks/months
in the future.Gets old quick

Dark silver my friend

I would have thought the ultras were lighter. Go figure.

OptionZero 03-28-2017 11:26 AM

i dont think the 1-inch/1-lb rule that Honda's and other smaller cars use will apply when dealing with RWD widths

and if u care about weight, get the "track" version which shaves a bit more weight (but only come in diamond dark gunmetal)

or if u "really" need the weight savings (you don't, you're not a racecar driver), get some CE28n's

obsession over wheel weight on a street car is hilarious to me

Now I'm on the fence between the Bronze color and this cool looking Flat Black. Cant seem to decide which one to with it. I love the classic look of the bronze but it seems that everyone with a Magma Red Z have them. I also love the look of this Flat Black but will take about 3 months to receive. Decisions, decisions

Probably because it looks right with magma red.

Yes, I'm not arguing that. Bronze does look great with the Magma Red that's why I'm torn between these two color options.

ChaseZ 03-30-2017 10:53 AM

I REALLY dig the matte bronze TE37's on Magma. Does the finish have a life expectancy for being in vogue? Sure, but powder coat is cheap whenever that time comes.

I have flat black. Took 5 months for me (special order color not stocked)

Sadly in the 19 inch Ultra, it's a regular color and stocked by Mackin

Look at my build thread for pix how it looks on white

I actually think Bronze is a better complement on a red car. Gold is even better - if you're going to wait on a special color, might as well get gold

Your Nismo looks great. And definitively black is the way to go on a white car. Those Ultras compliment your ride really well

Volk Bronze is an anodized finish. Good luck finding that in a powdercoat lol.

littlejuanito 03-30-2017 03:54 PM

Well... after much debate between two color choices, I finally made my decision and pulled the trigger on the OG Bronze Volks advertised on the Kamispeed group buy. Big thanks to Saku at Kamispeed and thanks to those of you that suggested these as well.

Next stop.... Tireville! Pole S-04, RE-11 or Michellin PSS ? :icon14:

OptionZero 03-30-2017 04:04 PM

why'd you give up on the Ultras?

Well, there were some things that made me sway towards the OG Volks.

That 3-4 month wait was the main issue since I know I was gonna grow really impatient waiting for them. The wait on my Fast Intentions CBE was nerve wrecking to say the least and I definitively didn't wanna go thru that again :icon17:

Also, I didn't really like that white line along the edge of the rim on the Ultras. I wished it didn't come with it, although they look great on your white Nismo.

That "white line" is a machined area of the wheel after the color is added fyi.

I wonder what was the point of that?

It's just the style they went with. It's a part of the Ultra design style.

Most of their new wheels (Te37 Saga, 19-inch ultra, ultra tourer, etc) has engraving to make it harder to knockoff
