Help Needed: Put on Nismo Rims, Rubbing

Hi All,

I did some research on the forums and read that it was possible to put 2015 Nismo Rims on a 2012 370z Touring.

So, I bought a set and popped them on and am having problems.

The tire size is:
245/40R19 98Y on the fronts
285/35R19 99Y on the rear

When I drive, it sounds like the tire is rubbing against the ground or something. Am I doing something wrong?

I can't really drive my car anywhere right now because of the problem so any help is appreciated.

the job of tires is to rub against the ground

regular Z's have even more clearance than Nismo ones since the nismo fender trim protrudes inwards the way the attach

either nothing is wrong and you're imagining it

or your car is really ****** up alignment/body wise

Hmm ok so basically it should fit fine but something must be wrong with my car? If so I will try to drive a few miles. I could barely get out of the garage due to the rubbing.

Btw my car is stock and was running fine before I put on the tires.

Also I found this tire measurement, which makes it seem like the tire would fit right?

nothing wrong with your car.
look at the brake lines, fender liner,
lift the car and rotate the wheels and try to isolated the noise.

here are about 100s guys running the nismo wheels with no problem.

I'm running 275/35/19 F AND 305/30/19 R lowered with swift and no rubbing and fit perfectly,
so one tire its bad or something came loose when mounting the wheels.

Does the car have wheel spacers? If so remove them

Thank you all for the help.

I was a little hesitant to drive due to the rubbing sound. But you guys gave me some confidence to break the tire in so I drove it around the block and it seems to have gotten better.

I'm guessing it's because the rubber on the tires are still new and need to break in, or maybe the front tires need more air.

just responded to your other thread about tpms. it appears that you don't really know anything about wheels and tires etc...

just curious if you forgot to proper tighten all the lugnuts? There are 5 per wheel and make sure you have the right ones or your wheels may be wobbling.
