Tire size help!!!

I just got the F14 Forgestar rims

Size : 19x11+15 rear, 19x10+15 front offset :

I am not sure what size tires would be best to clear the fenders/rubbing I am trying to go lower as well.

Rears will accept about what ever you want to throw on it,,,the front's are gonna be tricky w/that offset

Dutchieee 10-25-2016 11:33 AM

Correction! front 19x10+20 :bowrofl:

What would you recommend? and also what brand, currently have yoko's just wondering what other brands are out there just as good.

Are you looking to run stock diameter or shorter?

jchammond 10-25-2016 06:18 PM

Recommendation by myself, would be to lower your car & get an idea of where you gonna set your camber (probably more negative than spec) then you can measure up for tire sizes:most likely gonna be shorter than oem & some stretch on the fronts....hopefully others will chime in on this one;as the front wheels are very aggressive.

I run a 275/35 Michelin PSS on a 19x10 et20 front. Works nice but I would've went with a 285/35 if Michelin had offered an equivalent 315/30/20... Regardless, how it'll fit will depend on your camber. I run approximately -3.5.

Dang,,,that's a lot of camber.....I appreciate someone responding/as i was lost for tire size with bunches of -camber.
without all of the camber,,,i was thinking 255/35's or 265/35's up front...but that's getting low (26")

jchammond 10-26-2016 03:06 AM

Dutchieee,
As Winter approaches,,,you may want to install all-season rubber on your Z; especially if it's a daily driver...just a thought.
Sizes are limited with these though.

Dutchieee 10-26-2016 09:50 AM

What I've heard from other sources is 245/35 and 285/30

Yeah, it's typically what I run on all of the Nissan's I've owned (S14, R32, current) and I've never had an issue with camber wear as long as the toe/caster settings are setup for it. I live 40 min from the Nurburgring and Spa and even when cruising on the autobahn the car handles superb at continuous triple digit speeds.

lot of folks dont want to run negative camber, but it actually helps for people that aren't just mindless straight line focused, and it doesn't kill your tires if, like Northstyle said, your toe is set correctly (close to zero)

and, you know, if you don't daily drive your Z, then who cares

Some negative camber in the front is a desired thing. I blame the stance fuckwits for taking it so far that anytime someone sees the words "negative camber" they assume that it means the tires are tilted in so much that you have a 1/4" contact patch.
