Performance difference?

I still have the OEM forged rays wheels on my 2015 Z, but wanted to get either the Vertini Drift or Dynasty, 20x8.5 front and 20x10 rear.

Does anyone know what would be the performance difference if any between these 2015 OEM rays wheels and the Vertini Drifts in 20x8.5 and 20x10.

I know the OEM rays wheels are lightweight and good performers.

Little slower - as per more mass - and less traction on the launch than oem. But will corner better.
As per time .2 - .5 second slower in the 1/4. Hope this link helps.

none that you'll notice given the wheels you're looking at

Any reason why you say this?

Are the Vertini Drifts good performers?

I think you'll notice the Z being a little slower, I switched to 20s about 27 lbs each (not sure what the Vertinis weigh)and noticed a difference. I ended up wanting more performance and just got some Nismo rims

It'll handle worse with the narrower tire than stock in front. These cars like more front tire, not less. Especially if you're increasing width in rear.

no, seriously, you won't even notice. this is hilarious

a dude bombing around on the street isn't gonna be measuring his 0-60 or lateral grip or track times or anything, and he's getting some cheapo wheels without even talking about what tires he's putting on them

pretty sure how fast or slow you get to school or the grocery store is gonna be the same no matter what sorta wheels you have. carbon fiber wheels or wheels made of lead, who cares

also, this is one of those situations where "if you have to ask . . . "

Ok I should possibly keep the stock Rays. Maybe I'll just paint them black.

Vertini wheels, first I've ever heard of them. They use words like "Light Weight, Forged caps." So you put forged caps on a cast wheel? Another red flag "The Drift will be available in wide fitments to get the best ride for you sport luxury vehicle".

These are not better than the Rays in any way shape or form.

No they must be way better than Oem Rays. Rays suck, in fact they suck so much he should change them and give me his Rays, save himself the disposal fee.

Lol nice try jHill. Btw I am in Australia. Shipping wheels to the states wouldn't be nice on your wallet.

My whole car is stock still. No spacers or ride height adjustment.

I dont want to go too low because this Z is my daily and I know I will break the front bar at some point.

I do like the Rays currently, but sometimes when I see certain after market wheels, I get a sudden attraction.
