Is refinishing an almost mint wheel worth it?

I brought my car in for new tires and it came back with a very minor gouge on my otherwise perfect wheel. The shop offered to get it refinished for free but I am unsure of the quality of having this done. If I have a good opportunity to go back to mint I would like to take it. But i would rather live with a unnoticeable gouge than maybe have the color off or the durability of the finish be lessened. Perhaps I just seek some other compensation. Does anyone have any insight to this? Pics below

This took so long to be approved I already had to make the decision... In case anyone cares I took it to a wheel guy who told me with the hyper silver finish on these wheels the paint would never match perfect, and it would cost around $300 to do a good job.

Obviously this minor flaw is better than having one wheel stand out from the rest and I wouldn't even consider it if I wasn't offered the opportunity to have it done for free. The guys at the tire store told me they only pay $80 to their "wheel guy" so I can assume they either have a good hookup or the work would be garbagio. I accepted the $80 credit back off my tires.

Overall I am very pleased with how gracefully they handled this situation. I expected to call up and tell them I was 100% this gash, although tiny, was not there yesterday and they would show me the door. They also found tires for me in 1 hr that every other shop told me 2 days and charged me 100$ less than all other quotes i got for 2 installed. I have used this shop before and have never had a complaint till now. For these reasons I was happy to accept far less than a quality refinish would cost and am just happy to have this uncomfortable situation behind me (also happy to be pushing Michelin Pilot Super Sports again!)

Forget it,once your car is running, the chance of getting more of these chips, will be high...
