can you mount 295/30/19 tire at home ?

Just a stupid question can i do it by myself ? i dont know any local shop that can carefully/gaurantee mount your brand new wheel and tires without damage
(unless you have to talk with them and slip them some 20-50. but dont want them to look me as an psychic :icon17::icon17: )

wheel is 19x10.75 +15 and tires is 295/30/19. Does these wide *** need special treatment ?

and one more reason is that i did know the process is pretty easy (just looking:icon18: , but never do before)

you put the tire in carefully (not the fast way that most shop here do), inflate it, wait to her "" .......BUMP !!!!!!!!!!!! .........."" done !

i will bring it to them for balance, but i will not let them mount my tire.:happydance::happydance:. the way they did with my g35 and my friend 2010 bmw :roflpuke2::roflpuke2:... i dont mind cause those car is old enough. but my 370z is pretty damn new.

Probably not. It takes a LOT of force to get the bead on (or off) the rim. You think a shop can mess up a wheel? They (usually) have the right equipment. Since you had to ask the question, I'm guessing you don't.

If you want to give it a try:

not likely, let the pros do it....ask if they have a roadforce changer

JARblue 07-04-2016 08:47 AM

Barring the proper equipment, I just use a crowbar :ugh2:

Op is joking, right?

Yeah I would say no.

Sounds like a great plan...go for it and post a video how it turns out ;)

You would probably cause more damage to the wheels than a shop with proper equipments for the job

Look around for a local shop with a touchless tire mounter. I only know of one in the Raleigh area, so depending on where in Texas you are, they may be few and far between.

Op is in Houston, he shouldn't have problem finding a decent shop. JTran?

If they're brand new, Costco mounted my Hoosier wet slicks. I tried to mount one at work in our truck shop. Took 3 guys to ruin one tire and rim. Lessons learned.

Loving my Nismo!!!

not base on my knowledge. may be i have bad luck. The shop that i knew, do it very fast . fast usually come with no good.

Okay guys i will talk with the owner and give him xtra so he can take good care of them :icon17::icon17:

i just remember some places that the owner is the one who do the job. So he will be more responsible for it.

Zbrah 07-04-2016 08:30 PM

Here's a thought. Put tape around the wheel lip where it can come into contact with the mounting equipment ;)

Spooler 07-04-2016 09:39 PM

The answer is no. Where I take my car they have a touchless mounting system. They always put the best guy on it. Why, Because they know how much factory Nismo wheels cost and they would have to replace them.
