Need tire suggestions please

My nismo needs new rubber. this car is 90% street driven. i rarely drive it in the rain and i never drive it in snow. i hate loud tires. i hate loud tires. i hate loud tires. so no loud tires. lol

budget is 2000-2500ish.

present tires are advans in sizes 285/35zr19 & 245/40zr19. these are some loudass tires.

Go with either Michelin Pilot Super Sport , Potenza S04 or RE11

That budget can get you anything, continental dw are notorious for being super quiet, and the pss of course

I went from Toyo Proxes to Hankooks, the difference is night and day. I had RE-11s on another car and I can attest they are also quiet. I am very impressed with the Hankooks though as they are not loud imho. I also went 285/35fr and 325/30rear on stock Nismo wheels so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Either way good luck, with that budget you could possibly buy two sets.

The Bridgestone S04 are great tires for traction but road noise isn't that quiet. I'm definitely going to give the Continental DWS a try next time.

OP - nice budget, indeed. You've got your pick at that price point.

:iagree: I've had my S-04s for about six weeks and love the performance (especially for the price), but I'll second what AdamRacer stated - they are not the quietest tire, despite some reviews that I've read.

I third this. The S04 are excellent performers and monstruos grip in wet and dry. The noise isn't that bad but a little louder than stock.

McSpeed 02-28-2016 06:12 PM

road noise

so4 is louder than a stock advan?

Hotrodz 02-28-2016 08:53 PM

Advan's are noisy as all hell once they get some ware on them. S04's are are much better in every way.
