I spoke to Tire Rack today, and they said the 245/45 would need to be mounted on the rims that presently have the 225/50's and I could mount the 275/40's on the rims that presently have the 245/45's...anyone out there, make sense to you...

Just got back from the local tire chain store, and they said they would not recommend doing that,, the front tire 245/45 would rub, not sure about that, and the rear would cause the traction control light to say on...any suggestions out there who is correct.

The sizes you have listed would work just fine. Many people have done it. Speedo won't be off because OD is very similar. Bring it to a shop that knows what they are doing

Jet, thanks..I didn't think they knew what they were talking about especially when they said the 245/45's would rub the front...So I know what I am going to do now, just need to order the 2 275/40's....
