Bypassing tpms
Hey guys I'm getting a set of volk gt-c, and they have built valve stems, is there any way to bypass the tpms light?

round e-tape
|
Ha yeah I guess that would work. Seriously tho, is there a way do bypass it?
|
im not sure if TPMS bombs really work on our cars as they seem to now have centripetal sensors to turn on/off (extends battery life)
i just did the e-tape. it is so clean that even i cant see it unless i REALLY look for it. :D to make a clean circle i cleaned up a counter screw head, placed tape on the screw head, and cut along the screw head with a sharp pair of scissors. then peeled up, placed it over the error light in the cluster using my tweezers. worked great. |
I think, i might try that

yep, give it a shot. i used 3M super +33 black e-tape readily available at our favorite autoparts store aka HomeDepot :ugh:

Electrical tape glue gets messy when it gets hot. Even 3M's Super 33+ (the best electrical tape made, IMSNHO) will get gooey inside of a car.
My high-beam indicator was blinding me so I took a small piece of static cling film (the stuff that you have to peel off new electronics), marked it up with a black marker, and placed it on the bezel. Can be removed or repositioned without leaving any residue. |
mine is not gooey and last time i saw my z, she was still a car.
