Life of 370z tires

I bought a 2014 Z with the sport package so It's got the big tires on 19" rims and was wondering how much life I can get out of them driving normally 6-7 months out of the year, any idea guys, thanks !

Joker_J 03-10-2015 11:11 AM

In April, it'll be a year since I've had my Z. Tire still is in excellent condition.

An average of 15k on the oem tires per what I have read and experienced myself.

I did it. Shockingly good results. I drove like that for like 5k miles

33k miles on the OEM Bridgestones (somehow). Also did 2 autocross events on them. Lots and lots of highway miles. Rears were bald but no cords, fronts had 2-3k left maybe.

Potenza S-04's I got maybe 29,000ish out of them before they're past the wear bar. This is daily driving. One ~600mi trip that had a few twisty turns, but for the most part just DD'ing it around town in Phoenix (grid setup), so there are no harsh turns on the tires at all.

I guess the grip was okay with them, but I'm really disappointed with the tread life.

OEM's have 23ish on them and are perfect, except one rear has a ton of shrapnel in it (and the sidewall).

i couldn't even get 20k out of the stock tires. they didn't even last me a year lol. i'm already 11k into the michelin pilot ss and they seem to be doing good for another hopefully 15-20k

LOL, anytime you can get close to 20K out of the rears, that is really good. Anything more is excellent.

Z-Girl 12 07-07-2015 08:18 PM

15k but on skates and was driving it like I stole it.

ssmoked 07-07-2015 09:11 PM

Most that 'claimed' 30k plus on their tires are referring to the fronts. The fronts will outlast the rear at least 3:1 since the tires are staggered. Either that or they do 99% highway and have no spirited fun with their Z.

shaun66 07-07-2015 09:13 PM

Got 19K out of the stock tires and they were corded. Got 20K out of Super sports and they were literally disintegrating and chunks were coming off them. On S-04s now, but I'm expecting about the same mileage as the rest. If you get 20K miles out of a sports car on Summer tires your doing alright!

confucius 07-07-2015 10:24 PM

Just renewed my tires. Z is a 2013, now with 53,k. - 26 months on the road with winters on for 4.5 months both years. Fronts still road worthy, rears certainly not. OEMs held for 32,600k. And yes, mostly highway miles - but all miles VERY spirited!

Most.

Def. got 30k out of my rears. Still not looking forward to having to buy new ones. May ride these out for a little longer.

I get maybe 20,000 miles on rears, mostly hwy, but when i'm done they look like drag slicks. LOL Been running Hankook V12's and a mid summer side to side rotation.
