BTW, had the sport rims been up for sale in early Nov I would've jumped on them. Now I have no where to store them.

merry christmas everyone. so last week went to the autoshop near the nex and change my oil and i finally figured out how to stop the rattling from the exhaust hitting the cross member just add some heat shield in between and now its so much quieter when hitting those speed bumps or lil dips in the road. those heat shield run from 30 to 82 at checkers but i got mine for free in that metal recycling bin they have at the autoport.

hey im thinking about buying some rims for my car but i have no idea wat to do with the stock rims. are there ppl that actually buy stock rims? how much are the stock ones worth with tires?

Mayn bad night today. Went to see avatar at the IMAX theater at 1035 pm showing and after it went home. On the way home I got pulled over and got arrested for speeding. I was trying to pick up speed to get on freeway cop said I was still on regular road. And speed limit is 35 he says he got me at 66. That road that becomes a freeway sucks it's like a trap cause all ppl think is pick up speed for freeway speed. Now this is gonna be on my record for a long time grrrrr only in Hawaii has this gay rule 30 over is arrestable why can't it be like any other state and just recieved a ticket. This was the most expesive movie ever lol. Thanks to my wife she Paid for my bail money. Now I gotta try and figure out a way to make money to pay for the actual fine. O yea selling my wife's 350z 2006 if anyone interested

I'm assuming the area your referring to is that part of Nimitz highway by sand island leading up to the freeway? Granted, a lot of people do speed up in that area... your speed would still be pretty high in comparison (most people go 40~50). If it is that area, the limit goes from 35 to 55 at the top of the ramp. Given your 66, the best that can happen to you is you go to court and the penalty is mitigated by the judge if you have a clean record. And the arrestable limit is 20 over, or 80+ regardless of speed limit. I'd have to look again, but I'm pretty sure there isn't a fine associated with the 20+ over thing, its an arrestable and/or court citation. Be careful out there. :ugh2:

That sucks man,...I heard that in LA or CA that they can impound your car and glad that tehy dont do that in HI..

Speeding limits here in Hawaii are ridiculous in certain areas doing 35 for freeway areas where 90% of people never are in that range like Likelike, Pali, H3, etc,...

Id look into getting a Blinder M25 or other,...helps me a lot in my Subaru and saved me 3x thus far...and need to get it for the Z...

Wow man maybe I used up all the lucky breaks for the 370Z owners when I got stopped for doing 120+ on H2 and walked away with a warning.

Had I been arrested my career would have been done as a fellow MP. I know not the brightest move on my part.

Definitely get a lawyer. A fellow officer got popped for doing 100+ on the Millilani off ramp. Six months later his lawyer was able to reduce the charge.
