Say a Nismo 370z on Ray Rd crossing over the I-10. It was grey or platinum whatever lol. Looked pretty sweet if you are into the whole wing and body kit thing. I looked at it as a more refined evo or wrx where they are just a normal car with wings and stuff thrown on the Nismo 370Z looked like the wing and body kit had purpose and intent to why they were added. I don't like all the body kit nonsense normally but I'd drive it and enjoy it and think none the other where as in the other 2 (evo and scuby) I'd feel ricer-riffic driving them.

It still had the sticker in the windshield and no plate so it was either on a test drive or one of the techs was "testing" it.

Oh and the driver might as well been driving miss daisy cause he was getting passed by mini-vans :icon17:

Just got back in AZ last month from being stationed over in Germany. Can't wait to get my Z. Any meets comin up, or anyone know where the hotspots are now? No longer 75th Ave. and Bell Rd.? lol

Hambone 07-26-2009 06:45 PM

Picked up mine last Wed. PG Touring with Nav, 7spd Auto. I'm in Casa Grande. Might be the only one in town?

Also, I've done some searches on 3M clearbra and found a list of certfied installers in the Phoenix area, but wanted to fish out there and see if anyone has a particular shop they've used and are very satisfied with?

thanks, and HI!
:tiphat:

frost 07-26-2009 06:50 PM

Welcome mate. Don't know of any installers myself.

XwChriswX 07-26-2009 10:14 PM

o7 Welcome, glad to see more locals getting in on the Z action. As for that kind of work, no shop that I know of... sorry m8.

travisjb 07-27-2009 12:24 AM

Regarding clear bra installers... call Porsche North Scottsdale sales dept and ask for a recommendation... nearly 50% of new 911 owners get these things and I'm sure the dealership has a list of guys that are really good.

travisjb 07-30-2009 02:50 PM

Hey, there's a NASA event coming up at Firebird on august 8th that I wanted you guys to be aware of... I'll be running time trial, and should be lots of fun even to spectate... hope you guys can stop by

August 8th (Sat) registration now open! - NASA AZ schedule

XwChriswX 07-30-2009 04:14 PM

That would be awesome, but my car won't be here by then so I doubt I'll be able to make it this time...

If I didn't cook in the heat, I'd come to at least see your car run.

frost 08-01-2009 07:35 PM

^ PS, we need a group photo when it cools down :D

XwChriswX 08-02-2009 03:55 PM

I'm down for that once I get my Z as well. :iagree:

PyroCustoms 08-02-2009 05:50 PM

Do we have Mod friendly dealers in the area? I'm looking at getting my Z in the next month and would like to start off on the right foot. I quit taking my GM cars to the dealers b/c I got crap where ever I took them.

XwChriswX 08-02-2009 06:15 PM

With a name like that, do you have/work/are a shop of some sort?

PyroCustoms 08-02-2009 06:20 PM

Not for cars. It originally started out as a project for an assignment in one of my graphic design classes and was what I was going to call my graphics business, but I'm reserving it for something else non-car related.

XwChriswX 08-02-2009 06:22 PM

Sounds badass... like a Fireworks Company or somethin...

PyroCustoms 08-02-2009 06:31 PM

Firearms:usa:

XwChriswX 08-02-2009 06:36 PM

Even better! lol

More like these:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juZVge7lQa8

The MP5 is a rental, I don't have one, yet so my Bushy, 1911, and S&W460 will have to do for now.

XwChriswX 08-02-2009 07:59 PM

BA for the first one, sweet for the second... JESUS :eek2: for the 3rd..

YES. Go to Coulter Nissan and talk with Nick. Tell him Travis sent you. He replaced the engine on my 370 and got my warranty back in order, following an unfortunate incident with the car. Seem to be very mod-friendly, and of course they'd be happy to install your aftermarket mods. Their master mechanic is one of the few if only in the country that has swapped a motor in one of these cars thanks to yours truly! Good luck.

PyroCustoms 08-02-2009 08:05 PM

Sweet thanks man!

XwChriswX 08-02-2009 08:10 PM

Where are they located at?

PyroCustoms 08-02-2009 08:13 PM

4240 W Glendale.

travisjb 08-08-2009 12:29 PM

FYI, just found out that Nick left Coulter a few weeks ago and went to reviewview nissan of mesa Riverview Nissan - Bing Local

he is at 470-655-7072... feel free to drop my name

no idea if his new management has the same philosophy as coulter... i will be taking him my car soon for diagnostics, so we'll see

frost 08-08-2009 12:34 PM

Hey Travis, how are things going?

travisjb 08-08-2009 12:41 PM

Thanks for asking... I'm kinda frustrated... big *** (dual core) oil cooler, temps under control, everything in working order, but car hit limp mode at the track today! i'll be posting video on my video journal soon... I'm also going to be taking the car to nick this week to see if they can figure out what's up... i'm no longer worried about preserving warranty, that's gone for me, but I want this car to work!

frost 08-08-2009 12:43 PM

That's too bad man. Is limp mode something that can be removed from the programming? I don't have much experience with the computer stuff.

travisjb 08-08-2009 01:16 PM

I suspect not... will know more in about a week

Hey.. Did you find out if Coulter Nissan is a 'mod friendly' dealer? I am starting to look for a place to buy and have the Z serviced when I pick it up...

**MY BAD, I just saw that you posted that today!! I will keep checking this thread for updates on your experience!

travisjb 08-08-2009 10:14 PM

I talked to Nick today... I suspect that in his new role he will have to be super cautious... and I've dealt with the service mgr at riverview and well, I'm not impressed... let's keep looking... maybe coulter is still the place to go... they have two master techs and I know for a fact those guys are good... and I know for a fact that Coulter service dept has applied reasonable standards to warranty work in my case

also, I understand there is another really good nissan master tech in town at midway nissan... brian shannon... i'm told he drives a mod'd 350z!

Endgame 08-09-2009 12:48 AM

Hmmm.. Interesting info!! I will see what info I can dig up on Midway Nissan. I may drop by Coulter and check their Service department out....

PyroCustoms 08-09-2009 02:40 PM

I'm headed over to midway probably this week on a lunch break. I'll let y'all know what I find if I stop by.

travisjb 08-09-2009 03:06 PM

cool! see if you can talk to brian and let him know there's a "pack" of us looking for a good dealer to call home!

PyroCustoms 08-09-2009 03:09 PM

Will do.

510z 08-09-2009 06:55 PM

Stay far far away from midway, I almost bought my car from there as its only a mile away from my house. they are very shadey. I wouldnt trust them with a huffy. you will regret it.
