The salute? Am I missing something or was that a joke? Im a noob on here so it could be either. I keep seeing a Monteray Blue Z on 19th ave and the 101 but I am always stuck at the light too long to get close. Endgame I cant wait to see the pics either.

Hey guys, so its time to get the windows tinted, and I was wondering has anyone here done it already and if so... 3 things...
1. Who/Where did you have it done? 2. How much did it cost? 3. What % did you go with? And lastly, if you have a mag black by chance, can you post up some pics if possible so I can see the different combos. Thanks! |
Mine were dealer tinted. I have always been a fan of 5% in the back and front windows but I have to say that the 35% legal has been fine really. It doesn't look as good but I can actually see where I am at night. The blind spots are dramatic with darker tint. I also was stopped and ticketed in my last car so it isn't worth another one of those. I would say between $130 and $170 is a fair price and also check if the windows need ceramic based tint. I know that sometimes the antenna inside the glass can get interference if its metal based film. If ceramic is needed it will cost more, but I'm not sure how much.

1. Dealer Tinted
2. The Dealer said they send to the Specialists here in Tucson and get charged $75-$100. I went to the Specialists for my wifes car Mazda3 and they charged me $200.00 3. 5% in Rear and 35% Legal in front Here's some pics: http://www.the370z.com/members/the-w...ture2382-a.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/the-w...ture2381-a.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/the-w...ture1501-a.jpg |
Can you take some of the inside looking out during the day/night? I'd like to get 5% for the color matching, but I'm worried about visibility...
|
During the day it's not going to be a problem. At night it's a little difficult to see out. I use my side view mirrors more at night to double check if someone is behind me. As long as a there's lights on behind you it's not a problem but backing out of a parkling lot can be a pain. I try to avoid parking where i can't back in.

Awesome thank you! Tuscon might be a bit of a drive for me to get tint done though, anyone know of a good installer here in P-Town?
|
I had some friends at Sun Devil Auto that used to do it. I think they have all left though. I had my Spec V done at Dannys years ago and they were way over priced and did avg work. The specialists, wow that brings back memories. I lived in Tucson for 13yrs they did many of my audio installs. The guy I go to now for my audio is from the specialists too. I will ask him tomorrow am. I have an appointment to finish my components and wire my nav so I can play video while moving. I will post the info I get tomorrow

these guys (by the arrowhead dealerships) have done three of my vehicles and perfect every time. On the Z they stripped off the dealer 35% and went 15% on the drivers and passengers windows for $70 total.

[Edit: They do clearbra installs as well! WIN!!!] |
Just an FYI-
Beware of Danny's Car wash/oil change/gas station on 18thst and Camelback rd. (located over by the Best Buy). I have had my car there twice where I paid for services that weren't done and when I had the oil changed in my old car the drizzled oil all over the engine bay and fuse block causing me to blow a bunch of fuses. Not sure why I didn't post this the other day when I had issues there yet again. |
