Lets get hot and set something up for next week, meet up at Castle Rock again. I don't know any roads to chill on but I'm sure someone does!

I'm doing the Colorado exotic car club lap day this week at HPR. I'm also thinking about hooking up with the Z car club. I'm working Fridays all summer so am hosed for Thursday nights and Fridays until September. (bummer)

I second MAC, they are sponsoring a car for the hill climp so I don't think there is much going on at the shop untill the race is over.

CHUY: Go ahead and set something up. Meet in either Highlands Ranch or Castle Rock is good. Nothing south of Castlerock and North of Loveland. I'm right next to DIA and don't want to drive any further than an hour.

Lazy, anyways lets do this:
Outlet Mall in Castle Rock 1PM Sunday I swear to God if I set another one its going to be in the Springs! Also anyone in the Springs wanna cruise tonight hit me up 719 3604109 change 1 I'm out I won't be headed out Sunday. I got invited to Fan Fest for PikesPeak Hill Climb |
Hpr was fun on Sunday. You guys need to start coming out and lapping your rides!!!
There were a ton of lotus out there and the Z blew their doors off! |
Hey guys. Thanks for the confirmation on MAC. I've done a dyno day there in the past with the local Mazda club and they were very nice and accommodating. They even grilled for us. Would be nice to get one going with the Zs.
I need to get plugged in to the track days (never been) and meet ups. I missed the notices on this thread for the ones recently. |
having been to both, I prefer open track days to club events. The last club event was filled with super cool cars, and nice people, but was way over regulated with 4 different "groups" taking turns on the track. I probably only ran for about an hour the whole day due to waiting for my group to have its turn. Also they had a lot of no passing zones so I sat behind slower cars a lot waiting to get to a passing lane. (a bit frustrating)
open lapping days are way more laid back and you can come and go from the pits as you please which is better for sitting in other cars while you or your car cool down. I have ridden in lotus, vettes, 911s, GTRs, mustangs during open lap days. There was a McClaren some farraris and a few other exotics there at the club event, but the schedule didn't allow for me to try and schmooze a ride. bummer. |
By the way, I finally chased down my o2 sensor engine light codes to leaky HFC gaskets. I've installed Zspeed gaskets and Silicon sealer, and my codes are gone and my exhaust sounds right again. It was tight doing it without a lift, but saved me a couple hundred bucks labor. (the bolts were a bitch though and required an impact gun to bust loose)

I rarely see other Z's out in the broomfield/ northglenn/ thronton/ westminster/ brighton area. These are usually my pride grounds so i don't venture much elsewhere. I'm pretty we can all agree that the Z is a horrible choice of car to drive on the daily here with our super bipolar weather! I think the reason we rarely see other Z's is that they are not daily driven vehicles. My Z only sees the sun during weekends. For the daily commuting and menial chores requiring some form of transportation, i have a a little go getter of an SUV to throw around in.
