looking for Fast intentions Long tube headers

Hi guys,

as the title states looking for long tube headers from fast intentions, and willing to ship to Canada ( this will make it harder), either way throwing it out there in no particular hurry.

Sincerely,

Jay

Where are you located in Canada?

MD-370z 01-24-2011 04:19 PM

I'm located in Montreal, and I am aware of fast intentions shipping to Canada, i currently have installed an 18 inch resonator catback, but just looking for a deal, hence in the wtb session and not directly contacting tony.

Will it fail the emission test in Montreal?

How quiet is the 18" res compared to 12" res. I am serious looking the F.I CBE system w Res. I wanted a sophisticated sounding exhaust, some growl and little drone at cruising speed.
Any drone with the CBE w 18" res at cruising speed?
Did you get your set-up from Tony or a retailer in canada?

i got my cbe directly from tony, and am very happy with it, for daily driving i wouldn't get anything louder than 18 inch especially if like me your thinking down the road of long tube headers. I went with stainless steel and not carbon due to me driving my car in Quebec winters, dint want to take a chance with salt getting into the canisters or messing up the resin. Its got a great sound but there is a tiny bit of drone, I don't mind it at all but I cant say there is zero drone, overall very happy with purchase and would definitely advise others to get it. Hope this helps

Thanks for the advice, I will be certainly ordering the 18" res system.
How much did it cost have the CBE shipped from CA? Did you get nailed for import duties as well?

Thanks for all the info.

One more question, any ground clearance issues? I have a few speed bumps along my drive to work and I'd hate the scratch the mufflers going over them?

MD-370z 02-21-2011 12:47 PM

I'm running winter 18;s now and am a bit lower due to that, but have not scratched the canisters, i constantly scratch the front chin spoilers but the exhaust seems to be fine. As for getting nailed on the duties, oh yes i did and it hurt but such is the price of living in Canada. You can ask tony to weld some plates on the cans so that is all you would hit, but I don't think it ill be a big difference. If i recall i think they are only .5 or an inch lower than stock, so it shouldn't be such a big deal if u stay with your current ride height. good luck!

Ya the specs list the they are 3/8" lower than stock. I measured the stock exhaust ground clearance around 4 7/8"
I kinda figured the duties would be steep. I might ship the a US address and bring them over myself. How big were the boxes and how many?

Do you have the large capilers? Which rim did you go with to clear the caliper

Thanks for the help.
