WTB Sporty Car

Hello anyone who cares to read.

I am looking for a nice sporty car, weather it be a mustang or a z or something that needs or does not need TLC like a project car.

I do not have a lot of spare cash to drop on a nice used 350z or something of the sort. In a way I guess you could say I am looking for hand outs. I am just tired of driving my civic all over. I want a nice little sporty car to take out for a night with the gf, or go out for a nice weekend drive or go to car meets. I love working on other peoples high end cars but when I get back in my own I feel depressed. Total I could probably drop is 3 grand but would rather not. Just let me know what you have or if you can help me out. I am in college so that is where a lot of my install money and other money goes to but I can still take care of a car weather I buy one or one if given to me. Please let me know also if one is donated to me I would be happy to help the person in return.

well why not a z? all depends on how much money you want to spend and the use of the car.

Used Miata might be a good choice? Just a suggestion..

$3k isn't going to get you much in the way of a sporty car man. If your Civic is mechanically sound I would keep it and wait until you can afford something you actually want to drive.

Save up and buy a S13, then mod it. Slam it to the ground and drift the thing.

I was looking at 350's they are still going for 12k which is to much. I would love to get a z as much as I work on them but right now thats not possible. If I can not find a cheap car to work on and have some fun with I will just wait until after college.

You are much better off holding onto the Civic, which is reliable and cheap to maintain, until you graduate and have started your career and are actually able to afford the things you want.

It's a double-edged sword, Steve. On one hand, I'm with you because you and I are Professionals and we understand High Finance. Saving money at this stage of life is important, especially if you want to attract the Ladies.

On the other hand, without the used Miata, Big will still not attract the Ladies with his Civic.

Tough call.

Chicks dig motorcycles. If your into that.

3000 isn't a whole lot to work with, especially for a sports car. You can forget pretty much everything after 2000. I would look for an older 300zx non turbo. Gonna be hard to find one that hasn't been molested though.

you could get a early 90's prelude and throw an H22 in it but.... your better off just holding off you dont want to find yourself in a money crunch during this economy
