Looking for an aftermarket LSD

Title says all, I'm not super strict on which type it is if the price is great. I have a VLSD now, want to upgrade.

I have a base w/Automatic & options were few (without swapping nearly everything).
I got a Quaife Helical ATB & it really locks up good...Huge difference from an open diff.
Easy install & didn't do a gears swap...lotta guy's also run the Wavetrac; basically the same,,,but some has mentioned that it was better quality...?
Z1motorsports has a long list of options for your Nismo; including lower gear sets from 3.90-----4.36:1.

Yeah, I'm sticking with stock final gears. But I'm looking for a used LSD to save some money.

May be tough to find a good used one;as this is part of the foundation & really needs to be right.
Quaife start's @1095 & Wavetrac@1295.....Unsure what your application is-but you can weld it up & have a spool; it'll just chirp the tires when turning.
You may be able to have your's built? & those guy's @Z1 also sell used parts.
If you're getting a clunking noise from rear;it could be worn diff bushings....just a thought?

No, no my current diff is in a good condition. I track my car, and it vlsd really compromises the car. I have a Miata with a torsen and that feels amazing coming out of turns with 4 times less power than my Z

well...that's Quaife or Wavetrac...You may be able to find it online cheaper/or if someone is parting out.
Good Luck-getting ready for work.

Yeah that's what I'm looking for. As long as it's not a 2-way I'm willing to consider it.

If you're tracking the car don't bother with a helical (Quaife or Wavetrac), just go straight to a clutch-type (OS Giken or Cusco).

The problem with the helical types is that as soon as you unload the inside wheel, it will effectively turns into an open diff creating unpredictable power down handling. In theory the Wavetrac should be slightly better than the Quaife in this department but it still isn't a proper clutch type diff.

And fwiw, I'm telling you this because I wasted a bunch of money putting a Quaife in my car only to end up replacing it with a Cusco. Don't make the same mistake as me.

Clutch type 1.5 way is preferred but they are holy crap expensive :(

But still cheaper than buying a helical, hating how it performs, and then replacing it with a clutch-type in the end anyways.
