AMS petition ZCON 2013

Seems not everyone is happy with AMS?

So are they mad at AMS specifically, like they are the only company who takes other's ideas and replicates them?

Or the sect of the aftermarket that makes replica's of other products at a lower cost for the avg wallet?

Because that would include several other vendors that would be on the list as well if it's flaming the replicating side of the house. :ugh2:

Good point, it seems to be directed at them only. Go to the "pirate" website linked in the middle of the article.

BTW - your link needs some fixing, right now it's not a direct link.

There were a lot of people at zdayz who were upset they (AMS) were there sponsoring the event. They don't seem like they're too popular with the Z32 crowd.

Knock off parts are common in everything but from the stories it seems they are accused of rushing copycat items to market of questionable quality.
Thankfully there are forums like this with knowledgeable members that allow you to research aftermarket parts. I must have read every exhaust post on here before buying my fast intentions exhaust. Not the cheapest but the quality matches the price!

Some more information can be found here:

Absolute Motor Specialties - Pirates

They're a garbage company overall, with no class at events, and parts of less than questionable quality.

You wonder how it would play out if someone died due to failure of say a brake component or something, that was of inferior quality, and marketed to be a "performance" part.
The lawyers would have a field day.
