so I pm'ed Scott@Synergy and this was his reply, "I'm going off experience along with a ton of other cars in echeck areas that are turned. The ECU won't be running a scan or hold on that CEL because the CEL won't exist, it'll be turned off all the way."
So that gives me hope when my friend and I try this out this weekend. :crossing all 20: |
Ok what's that mean, That specific code is removed from the ECU's table ?

late update: friend has the uprev cable but it's tied to his totaled z which he no longer owns. we emailed uprev and they said the only way to go about this is to buy another license. f that.
so.., i went to back to doing it the way i've been doing it the past few years. 1. clear the code 2. drive like a grandma for ~80-120 miles of mixed traffic. best to save it for a day you're going on a short trip. 3. roll off easy from stops, and don't go past 3k rpm 4. shut off the car to let it reset itself. 5. presto. obd2 shows it's all ready. if not, go for another short drive, shut it down, and it should be ready the next time you start up. 6. inspection passed |
