is there a way too tell if my car has been tuned?

I tried searching but couldn't find my answer. Is there a way too see if my car has been tuned without going to a tuner? I bought it with stillen intakes, high flow cats and a nismo exhaust. It runs great and I'm curious if it has had a custom tune or not after breather mods. Thanks

did you buy this car used? i'd go to the previous owner to double check.

those bolt ons you probably dont need a tune but it would definitely squeeze a few more ponies out!

You can try switching maps( Cruise Button UPREV) but not know what each on is may be problematic?

I bought it used from a dealership so no access to previous owner

I would just take it to a shop that uses uprev and let them see whether or not you have a tunable ROM on there.

There really isn't another way -- even an OBD reader won't be able to tell. You need a cable and software. Odds are a shop won't even charge you to check.

Here's what u do. 1. Go to the crusie control toggle hold it down 2. Press the on/off button 1 2 3 or 4 times while holding down the toggle 3. Let go and see if the cruise control light blinks if not then ur stock if u do its uprev most likely

Yeah, but if he accidentally sets a valet map that will suck... I don't think that's a good idea if there are unknown maps hiding on there.

That said, my guess is that he isn't tuned.

OP might also search the car for an uprev cable in glove box or center console -- that would almost definitely mean a tune is on there.

No cable. It probably isn't tuned but I was curious if there was a way to check. Thanks guys

Hold down the cruise cont flat knob and press the "cancel" button and let go of the knob. Try that pressing cancel twice and try 3 times. Usually once is your performance/Eco, 2 is valet and 3 is kill start.

Cool I will try this. What visually will verify it either way?

Once you let off the Set/decel button after pressing cancel button, your cruise control light will flash the same number of times that the Cancel button was pressed.

Check the spare tire area. That's where I keep mine.
