EcuTek and Cruise control
 

Hey guys, hopfully someone knows here since it might be easier than trying to call and get an answer.

I have EcuTek and only got one eletronic tune session in before my car got hit at the end of last summer. I know multi maps are not released yet for it but having the tune affect your Cruise Control working? I can't remember if it was working before my first tune, or if it is something from the accident that needs to be fixed still. I don't want to flash it back stock and bring it to the dealer if it's just a by product of the tune. Any help would be great guys, thanks.

Probably adjustment under the brake pedal.

See of pulling the pedal up with your foot will let it engage.

thanks for the tip...ill try it out tomorrow on the way to work. cause the on/off button works, it just wont set speed.

Mine was the brake pedal

tried pulling up on my brake pedal, didnt do anything unfortunately. Is there a switch behind the pedal that may be stuck in the engaged position?

Or anyone else have any ideas?

There is a switch at the bottom of the clutch peddle travel, and at the top. Go under your dash and make sure that your clutch in the full up position is pressing the top limit switch in all the way. If that switch isn't being compressed, the ecu believes you are pushing the clutch down and won't activate cruise.

Of course, as previously stated, it will also not activate cruise if it believe you have started to push the brake peddle down.

Climb your head down there and see what's happening with your peddle switches.

When I installed (the awesome) RJM clutch peddle, once I had it all set up how I liked it, I had to move the top limit switch down lower to get my cruise to work. The switches are threaded with a lock nut and have some decent range of adjustment.

there is a cruise control specific brake pedal switch(there are 2 0n the top of the pedal assembly) the other brake switch is for the lights abs and tcs but one switch is only used by the cruise control, check this and the upper switch on the clutch. also you are having synchro rev issues try redoing the neutral position relearn for the shifter. being that it was in an accident it could be something wrong with the steering wheel switch if you're airbags went off and they F'd it up putting the new one in.

Thanks for the locations of the switches. Found them all but looks like they are in ok positions? Is it just that giant square nut that spins to adjust them? Airbag never deployed so I'm not thinking its in the steering wheel buttons themselves

The square nuts are welded to the brackets and act as the bung for the threaded sensor. The lock nut is threaded on the switch on the other side of the bracket that we can't see in the pics. Loosen the lock nut and then spin the entire switch to adjust.

yeah and you want to spin them closer not further away to to make sure they are fully depressing when the pedals are up. checked the manual and the brown plastic one is the brake light switch so you wont need to mess with that one or the bottom switch on the clutch pedal. just the two steel threaded ones on the tops.
