Uprev question.

Ok so my question is : If i disable my misfire code through up rev. Will the symptoms still come up.
Example - Car runs great for 2 weeks, misfire code comes on, idle jumps and runs ar 11.2:1. I clear the code, cars back at 850 idle 14.8:1 and runs great. I found an exhaust leak, fixed it and the code cleared it self. which was nice.
But me and employee at my shop are debating over this,
He says the light wont come up, but the car will still act the same as if the light was on the dash board.
I think, if i disable this code, the light or the symptoms wont come up. i could be wrong, but want some imput. thanks.

I HOPE the issue still pops up. Your car is misfiring either way.
You should try to actually fixing it, not BS the system

The problem has been fixed. As said in my OR post.
Me and an employee are debating over if you remove the code through uprev. what will happen.

If you clear a code the car should revert back to its previous state prior to the code.
I was getting a bank too lean code, until my re-tune. Would just clear it and the car was fine (re-tune fixed my issue).

You won't know when there is actually a misfire.

Out of sight, out of mind I guess...

I mean "disable the code" through uprev.
Not clear it with a scanner..
I had a leak from header to cat, fixed it and the code cleared it self.

I would be careful about disabling misfire codes , Kinda something you want to know happens.
BTW how the Air to Air thing we where talking about coming :)

To answer the OP's question, you just shut off trouble code P0300 which is random misfire code, each cylinder has it's own code for a misfire and yes they do show up and it makes it better for diagnose the problem.
