Pro tuner for consult?

Any pro tuners with a lot of Uprev-specific experience willing to let me bounce some info off of them? I'm trying to figure out some weirdness I'm seeing.

Thank you in advance!

he probably couldn't flash your ECU because you have a 2013 with a rom that UPREV might not have yet.

All it need for an unknown ECU is to have the Dump ECU function on the Tuner/Pro Cable and Download the ROM from the ECU and sending it to Uprev.
Usually take up to 2 weeks before receiving the Uprev version of it to be flashed into the new ECU.

as far as your Tuner that want to upload another 370z map.... if the mods are similar the difference wont be that big but IMO, I would ask for a proper tune made for YOUR car.

Trust......
There isnt any black magic in tuning so it would be difficult to actualy feel/know the difference unless you follow your tuner and look at what he is doing while he tune your car.

Its like the subaru/evo world where Ive seen them sharing their tune and they still run fine.

Plus, the tune for one car with bolt ons vs. another isn't really going to be that different. Every tuner I've seen has a map for the most common setups that is about 80% dialed in, and they just tweak that rather than doing everything from scratch every time. Which is nice, if you're paying by the hour for dyno time.

I would not suggest flashing a rom from another ecu code(tuning maps are ok just not the rom/tuning maps would most likely need adjustments). Was the reason for no flash a ISO fuse issue or just no rom available?

Maduro 09-13-2013 08:58 PM

Hi John@Z1 so what kind of problems will I have in the future if they used a ROM from a different 370z and can another tuner tell if I have the wrong ROM???????

Maduro 09-22-2013 02:38 AM
