How to go back to stock tune?

Can I remove my uprev tune at home? I'm getting ready to remove my mods and was wondering if I would have to pay a tuner to remove the tune or if I can somehow do it at home

Your uprev tune shouldve come with maps. Based on the tuner, you can have a stock map, a beast mode map, valet map, etc..

On the 350z and g35, you can switch your map by holding down cruise control and using steering wheel controls.

You can go from being tuned to untuned in 10 seconds..

Find out if you have maps I guess, then switch to stock tune.

He wants to completely remove the tune since he's removing his mods.

OP if you have an uprev cable you can reflash back to stock at home, otherwise you'll have to go to the tuner and have them remove it.

There is a specific "Back To Stock" ROM file for each vehicle, that will completely remove UpRev from the vehicle and put the license back on your cable.

If you have the cable and need the ROM you can get it it from UpRev just email them.

Sorry for thread jacking but is it possible for dealerships to be able to tell you've mucked around with the ECU if you just switch the map to stock?

What if you flashed it back to stock? would they be able to tell then?

If they were specifically looking for UpRev tune for some reason they could try map switching and see if it works. The cruise light blinks to verify map switching. If they attempt to reflash an update to your ECU(they shouldn't do this without permission), it could wipe out your uprev license.

If you flash back to stock before going to dealership then your ECU is basically restored bit-for-bit exactly to pre-UpRev state, no trace.

You should buy a cable to store your license on.
Otherwise the tuner removes the license you paid for, and sells it to someone else.

See if seymore4 has a blank cable to sell you, then ask your tuner to revert to stock with YOUR cable.
You can then sell the cable and license.
