Uprev Updater Failed .. PLS Help

I need your help fellas. I went to update my UpRev software and the during the update it had a failure. I'm no comp guru but the icon for my updater no longer works and when I went to do it again. It dissapeard from my list of programs. I still have the two programs showing but updater is gone.

I can't find my damn disk anymore. Is there another way or a link to where I get get the updater? Please help.

Thanks JC:tiphat:

The first I always suggest with computers and other electronic gadgets is power everything down, wait 5-30 seconds, and power back up.
While you have the power off and waiting to boot, check all cables and connections.
If that doesn't fix it (and nobody else has an answer), call Tech Support.

Edit: Something that is fairly easy to check, but I doubt is the problem: Find the folder where the apps are and see if you can spot the updater (filename probably ends in ".exe"). If it's there, make a shortcut where ever you want.

You have to delete Uprev software from your computer and re download from Uprev's web site, it happened to me and my tuner,I just took all the files I wanted to save and email them to myself and reinstall the software then attach ROM,log files from the email to ROM files.

Thanks Fellas, +rep to you guys. I'll try both methods when I get home.

If i delete the uprev software will I lose my maps that I have saved?

I've never used the UpRev software, but, if it's like most programs, the maps will stored in a folder on the HDD. Exactly where can be a lot of places, so your best bet may be to search for a filename. Once you find the map(s), you _should_ be able to copy them to floppy/thumb drive/&c and then copy/import to the new install, but I can't guarantee you'll be able to get UpRev to recognize them.

UpRev Tech Support should be able to give you a better answer.
