now u guys are really gonna kill me...no dyno sheets. I knew i was going to need to get it redone and after being so pissed i just left. I'll call him and see if i can get them.

cdoxp800 08-27-2012 05:49 PM

I'll be the one to say it.

It really sounds like to me your tunner has no idea how to tune with Osiris. From the sound of it all he did was mess with the fuel table. There is more to a dyno tune then messing with the fuel table.
Do you have the ROM he tuned for you?

NickD 08-27-2012 08:57 PM

i just had an argument with him about getting the rom file since i paid for the license. He wont give it to me so i told him to take uprev off my car and give me my money back. Thats happening Wednesday so hopefully that will be the end of that. Then i can invest in a real tune.

Any suggestion on where to go for tuning? I already talked to RAD since that seems like a good choice. Just hate to wait for the list lol

I bought my UpRev direct and got the 3 canned etunes plus the base tune. I am VERY happy with the results and I had a few people look at the map and they were impressed. Plus you get the data cable that way too!

RAD. Nuff said.

But if you insist on options R/T tuning down here in PA is a protuner if I recall correctly. Regardless there plenty if good reviews here on the forum about them.

My car is running 13.2-13.5 AFR after tuning, it didn't like anything under 13. Then again, I have my own gremlins I'm on a witchhunt for. I only made 306 after tuning, and that was with a laundry list of boltons.

If you're only looking at peak numbers, you are likely to be disappointed. Look at the area under the curve in the low to mid RPM ranges. If there are no gains ANYWHERE across the rev range, then something is up. If you gained 15-20 HP at low RPM but your peak number stayed the same, I would count that as a big improvement.

Also what were your torque gains in the low to mid RPM ranges? Remember, peak numbers are good for bench racing, gains in the low to mid RPM range is what makes the car faster and more fun to drive on the street.

For the good of the members here, you should name the shop. You stated facts as you saw them, if the shop saw something else, they will tell their story.

I & others are looking for a tune shop. The right thing to do is tell us where you went & we will make our own decision.

When was your last contact with "theexperince.com"?
I've tried many times & can't reach them.

It's either me:) or they have some serious situation after their crew went to RAD....

With the mods you have you should see some peak gains with larger mid range gains. Sometimes the ecu's have adapted really well and gains are initially hard to see but after it is tuned and the targets are adjusted you should feel more responsiveness and more linear power as those targets are hit.

We will provide you with a before and after dyno sheet as well as you ROM file if you request it. We feel the ROM is yours as that is what we are being paid to provide you with. We are the most experienced UPREV tuner in the northeast...:tup:

Give us a call if you are looking for another pro tune.

Like I said once i take the car somewhere else and see the difference for myself then i will be 100% confident that the first person didnt know what they were doing. Until then I'm not giving out information.

To me that's the right thing to do and thats the way i'm going.
