I fine making fun of another member because of his lack of knowledge instead of doing what Modshack did, is rude. Cause if a member can't come here and ask the stupid question because his gona be slap in the face, what good is the forum for.
By the way Im not the one who requested hte cams :D THe comparison I try to make which I dont like from some Evo guys is, they always like to compare their cars to NA cars, and thats like apple to oranges. Yes the Evo is already bossted and modded from factory where an NA car is not, but they make it look like "your never be like an Evo cause our is already modded" my answer to that is "lets get both cars modded the same and then we talk" Even get an AWD to the Z (i know is not possible, but using it as comparison) Is kinda they make it sound like, No matter what you do to your car, youll never get close to an Evo. Which I know is a very wrong assumption. But not hating, here just giving my Opinion |
Some Equations
NISMO Catback + Stock car = more power Tune + Stock car = more power more power + more power = 2(more power) besides even if you do both you'll only have about 280-290 at the wheels stop worrying about 350hp Oh and some more Equations Stillen Exhaust > nismo stillen Gen3 > all GTM TT > 400hp at wheels > 370z with $3500 of bolt ons + 100shot of N2O |
i was comparing the boosted cars to each other.
of course NA cars make less power per mod. it's the exhaust cams which can be switched out for more power. cams from all manufacturers are made for emissions mainly. go take a look at the BMW and Honda forums and see how much power those guys are making with swapping out the cams. with FI cars it's not uncommon to see upwards of 60whp increases with cams. hell with non turbo Z32's cams make a huge difference. |
Funny. Lack of knowledge? He knows more than you it seems. :bowrofl: Oh btw, take a spelling class.

Ok so it's $550 for a tune. Now what's the turn around time? It didn't say on the website.

Last Friday while on the dyno my car showed radical changes in fue/air from the last session. Could have been software related, could have been the gas? Dunno? But your taking a chance the car used for the baseline tune is identical to yours using the same fuel, etc. |
Its a good option if you have no alternative. True, it won't be optimum, but lots of people live in places where there are no competent dyno tuners, and they all come with the same tune out of the factory anyways, and its at least better than that one.
I will probably have mine dyno tuned though. I am pretty much finished with bolt ons, just need to recover from the $$$ the brembos I just bought cost me. |
