Sprintbooster

Home of Sprint Booster

Had it installed at RDZ Motorsports.Wow!!What a difference. The car feels like is on steroids.
The Sprintbooster comes with three settings,OEM,Sport-Really Fast,Race-Wicked Fast.
No CEL's,works perfectly with any mods and Tune.
Probably the best mod for the $$$.

That thing actually works:icon14:

You could have saved $299 and just pushed the pedal down faster...

Doesn't work that way exactly. These systems seem to cure the natural delay of drive by wire.

IMO, this thing is smoke & mirrors.

(that should ignite a firestorm of debate)

Paskii 02-14-2012 02:58 PM

Been using it for a while and it does make a difference, seems to respond faster but an Uprev tune may also resolve that issue. Also I did notice gas consumption is a bit higher with the sprint booster on.

EVOnomore 02-15-2012 06:19 AM

No Tune will solve the Drive by Wire Delay. It will help out some but the delay will be still there.
This is my fourth car with the Sprintbooster and it seems to work very well in curing the delay.Just wanted to share my observations, and the choice is yours whether you decide to buy it or not.

Looks like it just remaps the throttle voltage to give more load at lower throttle input and does not really have anything to do with overall delay. This should be something anyone could properly tube with throttle mapping in Uprev.

"""Sprint Booster modifies the signal between the accelerator pedal module and the electronic throttle body. This modified signal forces the throttle body to open 'more' than the stock signal at a given pedal position. In effect, the idle-to-full-throttle pedal travel is reduced. This makes your car 'feel' more powerful because a given pedal input produces greater throttle opening. This is especially evident in the low to mid rpm range where most cars spend their time on the street.

Sprint Booster simply modifies the throttle signal between the accelerator pedal and the throttle body. Big deal right? Keep in mind, this is the same concept as the 'throttle pulley' modification on cable based throttle systems - which was very popular in it's time. It doesn't add horsepower, but makes the throttle more sensitive and makes the car 'feel' faster.

It doesn't matter if you have a Sport Mode, ECU software, or 'Chip' on your car, Sprint Booster works independently of other modifications. It simply makes the throttle more sensitive, making the car 'feel' faster.

Is Sprint Booster for everyone? Of course not, no performance product ever is. If you have a track car where you spend most of your time near redline, Sprint Booster is not for you - Sprint Booster benefits are felt in the low to mid pedal travel. Some people don't like the fact that Sprint Booster reaches full throttle before full pedal travel - if you routinely mash the throttle to the floor, Sprint Booster may not be for you.

Sprint Booster is most effective in the low to mid rpm range, which is where most 'street' cars are driven on a daily basis. Yes, you may need to adjust your driving style after installing Sprint Booster - but that is a short learning curve. Sprint Booster will put the 'fun' back into your daily drive.

Sprint Booster is simple but effective - it makes the car more responsive and thus more 'fun'! This is why the product carries a 30-day money back guarantee!!!

Sprint Booster installs in minutes, and is easily removable. Plug-n-Play performance!

Just try it! Make your daily drive more 'fun'."""

You're right, couldnt have said it better. People kept saying just push pedal deeper to get the effect but I am almost certain they have never driven one with sprintbooster before. I had mine and never look back. There are days when i turn off the sprintbooster and was in fact embaressed at how slow our heavyass z acceleration is. Turned it back on like after 10 seconds.

Well said "Alfamale"!

Pelican170 02-17-2012 09:01 AM

How much did they charge you for the install?

Alfamale 02-18-2012 10:39 AM

the install is very much straight forward, 1 plug goes to behind the accel pedal, another to the ecu plug (no cutting of whatsoever required) and find a spot somewhere to stick the on/off button voila you're done! All about 10-15mins and only + - $30 for install or you could diy very simple.

Gotcha, thanks. Can I ask what RDZ charged you for your uprev? Will most likely be taking mine in come spring to them since I live in Danbury but curious what they charged... Also, how many maps did they give your car? Meaning stock tune, uprev tune, valet...?

Brutal 370Z 02-21-2012 04:42 PM

Does it have any negative effects with the SyncroRev on?

EVOnomore 02-22-2012 06:51 AM

They charged me Uprev's price for an Uprev Tune with three maps loaded in the ECU.Performance,Stock,Valet.
Performance Map was tweaked to my mods,HFC'S and CBE,with K&N Air Filters.
My AFR is perfect.
Sprintbooster installed for free. They also did my HFC's install, that was a royal PITA.It took them almost three hours to remove Driver's Side DEMON BOLT!I was there and no BS here.
Deal with Rich or Scott directly and you will not be disappointed.
They are "old school",former car racers, and they love what they do.They love cars as much as we all do.
Sprintbooster will not effect any kind of Tune in your car,and it works totally independently improving throttle response.
Just try it for 30 days-Money Back Guarantee.
