Stroker kits for VQ37 engine
Does anyone on the forum have experience with stroker kits for the VQ engine.
I have seen 92mm cranks on offer which when paired with 96mm pistons will give 4.0 litres. Sleeve kits are also reputed to permit 100mm bore, but I'm not so sure I want to go that extreme given that my plot is for a NA race engine at 450+ flywheel HP (must be NA given the race series rules being contemplated). Anyone gone this route on a NA engine ?? RB |
i believe you will be the first.

Not what I wanted to hear .... being a test pilot is sooo expensive.
I have found the engine builder who blds the Nissan 370Z GT4 engines for the European GT4 series, but the real knowledge is about headwork, piston pin height and crown design, rod length and obviously stroke ... Oh well, I feel anther project coming on ... |
gtm makes stroker kits for the 370z give sam a call and see what kind of stokes and pokes he can give you. they have a lot of parts coming yet that may be beneficial to you to.

from my understanding stroking the engine will increase the displacement but unless you can find a way of keeping the compression high it does not gain you anything on a N/A build.
|
I believe GTM has their pistons custom madeby Arias so i would GIVE SAM A CALL and see what he can do for you. It may or may not be possible to get 12.5:1 pistons made for a stroker without sleeves but if you never ask you'll never know.
