UpRev tuned @ R/T Tuning - Results

1 Attachment(s)
Got UpRev tuned at R/T Tuning this morning. Thanks to Vince and the guys at R/T. It was well worth the 4h in the car to/from Baltimore.

Prior Mods: Berk HFCs, NISMO Exhaust (H-pipe from OEM NISMO), K&N drop ins with silicone post MAF tubes.

+19whp, +19 wtq, with good increases across whole band.

Damn I can't believe you drove from Baltimore to R/T Tuning!
:O
How long did the whole process take?
And did they let you drive the z on the dyno?

Fantastic numbers and similar to those I've seen with similar mods and the UpRev tune! How much did they charge you for the tune?

Fed Hill Z 05-03-2011 04:51 PM

Yea, it was 200 mi round trip, but a shop to remain nameless around here quoted me an obnoxious price for a canned tune on a Cobb Accessport. I saved over $300 and got an UpRev dyno tune instead. The bonus was a delicious cheesesteak for lunch.... they are just not the same in Baltimore.

Whole process took a little over 2h. I did not drive on dyno. Vince sat in car with laptop while on roller.

They were almost double what I was expecting and they said it is one of the best gains they have had on a 370 with similar mods. Got lucky I guess. They gave me a promo price for being on forum of $525.

That's a great price I've been quoted as high as $1000 in CT :shakes head:

Same deal around here. Well worth $40 in gas and tolls to save a ton of $$ and on top of it deal with an experienced shop.

Nice numbers man HFC's really free'd it up, I made just shy off 300WHP on stock cats..

If you don't mind a short drive to Long Island, you can go to Welcome To The Experience | Performance Motorsport 2011'
Their running a $500.00 special. Just thought I would share some sponsor info. :tiphat:

Congrats. Very impressive gains.

Very impressed with those numbers and that curve. Props to Rt, Im sure the ride was no thing but a chicken wing up and cheese steak back. What better way to do a test comparison between a non uprev/uprev tune. On the ride back... How did the car feel on the highway performance wise? I already know the looking forward ride had you anxious.
Are you bitter cause Vince didnt allow you to drive on the Dyno?:p

The highway on the way back is where I really noticed the gains. Traction is more of a limiting factor in 1st gear, but once you can get to open it up through 2nd and 3rd, the car pulls much harder. I can even feel the difference in 4th when passing. No issues at all with driveability.

I love having the different maps as well.. can't wait to valet it for the first time and watch the kid pull away only to realize it is limited to 3000 rpm / 30 mph. It is much harder to keep my foot off the gas now... My gas mileage will be taking another hit :shakes head:

This is the first time I have ever had a car on a dyno, so it was cool this time. Next time Vince better have me in the driver seat... maybe let me work the laptop and tune it too.... wait, I don't want my engine to blow up.

It was great having you up to the shop Alan. Did you end up getting the cheesesteak from Franks?

jazz 05-05-2011 01:45 PM

ANMVQ 05-05-2011 01:47 PM
