New Sponsor and UPREV Tuner

Hey Guys, Just wanted to do a quick introduction. We (R/T Tuning) just became a sponsor and are excited to support the 370z Community. One thing we are well known for is UPREV tuning, and is the reason I wanted to post specifically in this sub section. We are one of the most experienced and knowledgeable UPREV tuners in the US.

With UPREV constantly doing R&D on the 370's and consistently updating software, we here at R/T try and do our best to let you guys know whats going on as well as offer support. We are very well known in the 350z community for our customer service and UPREV tuning product support.

So guys feel free to ask me any technical questions as well as anything you may need and I will do my best to help you guys in anyway I can.

Thanks, Vince

Hey Carbon, thanks for the good words!!

No cracking of the VVEL code yet. UPREV just made some big steps with cracking Knock Control code and are still workin on a lot of that. I know that the VVEL is high on the list for development.

So then mine's is the only one to have cracked vvel so far or what?

1slow370 03-13-2011 10:12 AM

mine's hasn't cracked sh!t that is all a misunderstanding. gtm will have it done soon and it looks like it will be a seperate box not a reflash.

hummm..... This is starting to get good with whole vvel system. Howdy vince welcome. It would be nice to get actual information from uprev on this matter. Vince has the knock control been cracked and if it has will the timing be able to be altered more than a couple degrees?

zzdudaka 03-28-2011 07:31 PM

Welcome R/T! Always like to see stuff from my home state. You guys Penn State fans over that way or does your moral compass steer you down another(wrong) path :) lol.

What is a rom dump when speaking of the the Uprev? Seems I see this mention of the Nismo models mostly.

1slow370 03-29-2011 05:34 AM

it's copying the factory tune file and emailing it to uprev so they can compare it to the other tunes and get the software patched to work with your tune.

Hey Jnuat, they plan on R&Ding of the VVEL system very shortly. They haven't got to into it yet but its on the radar. They are currently working on a lot of the knock control parameters. They have cracked the tables that allow when knock control comes on. I.E. being able to turn it off and on. They are said to be close on cracking the sensitivity values. Once that happens knock threshold, sensitivity, and knock count should all be able to be monitored. I will try and keep ya all updated on this. Also If you have any question on to whether or not they have a ROM for your 370, feel free to hit me up.

Thanks, Vince

VVEL adjustments for the win. :)

GZ3 03-29-2011 09:36 AM

so is it VVEL adjusting or tunning that we will be seeing?

1slow370 03-30-2011 05:00 AM

adjusting and tunning are the same thing aren't they?

antfd3s 04-01-2011 09:17 AM

Vince...good to see you on board. Thanks again for the work you and your crew @Rt has done. I look forward to my uprev tune very shortly. Do you think it'll be a bright idea to wait till uprev develops a crack for vvel? Id like to get this done all in 1visit if possible. Your guess would it be months/days for the hack?

Vince@R/T 04-02-2011 08:52 AM

^^^^ Hey antfd3s, Its hard to say when they will be getting into the VVEL system. I know its something that is high up on the priority list but there are a few things high on that list as well. If I had to guess with what I know I wouldn't expect it to be done anytime before the end of this summer. As far as the tune now I guess it just depends on all your mods and what your looking to get out of them now. Let me know if I can help ya any further.

Cant wait to throw a leg over my R1
