Best Performance Chip 370z
Hello,
Just wanted to get your guys opinion on what performance chips you have used and your opinion on them. I am a newbie when it comes to these Z's and my buddy told me after exhaust to get performance chip. So I want to make sure I get the one that all of you suggest. |
Do you mean an UpRev Tune? I don't really know if there is a chip swap available. The UpRev tune is basically a mapped tune based on what add on's you may have. It "tricks" the computer into thinking your breather mods came from the factory with that setup. HFC's, Intakes and other power mods should be done before the UpRev tune so you don't have to go back and spend the money to re-tune.
|
Be very careful! A chip or canned tune will not be specific to your car. Search for race shops or tuners in your area who tune cars using a dyno….Per the tuners experience you will get the best results dialed into your car and not an approximation.

I have recently had stillen gen 3's fitted and within the month tony will be supplying my hfc and cbe. will the car need a tune to get the maximum power and performance?
|
Yes the tune will give you maximum performance.
|
the chip I recommend is pringles....way better than lays........

I'm going to suggest the Hypertech pocket tuner. If you don't have access to a local tuner with a dyno/UpRev, it's the next best thing IMO. I have intakes, HFC, and full exhaust on my G37 sedan and it really does make my car drive great. :)
