You should probably wait till you have all the mods on, but I dont know if it matters that much.

If your going to be getting the HFCs or test pipes in soon you can wait. However if its going to be a few months tune it or at the very least get the car on a dyno with a reliable A\F monitor and see where the AFR is.

The stillen G3's will have a good starting point for Intake calibration....you wont need(but you should eventually) to tune until the HFC/Test pipes go on.....just do a dyno run with wideband to make sure its all working well together and go from there!

just did the dyno yesterday max power = 297.1 MAX TQ 241.7

the TQ is quite low...

the Stillen Exhaust get more TQ i think or maybe the temperature affect the dyno result

What kind of dyno and what correction factor?

Yes, get all of your bolts on's done, then tune, else you will probably need to retune to get the most out of it.

Also, I don't think the torque is low at all -- baseline appears to be around 275/225 for this motor with only a couple of whp/wtq less for the auto.

So basically if you just have a CB and CAI then AFR is not that bad and car is not running lean?

as I am also thinking either to go for tune or not but its just the redline shifting im not comfortable with

If you have the Stillen V3 intakes and Cat-back then yes....it will probably be very close to perfect.....I would still get a dyno test or at least a wideband on the car to test AFR....

I have injen CAI and FI CB, will try toget AFR reading but its just too hot (119-124 deg F) here these days and waiting to get the weather cool down a bit to get better reading.

Injen claims that this of their CAI adjusts the AFR?? anyone had any views on that how true is that?

I had my baseline dyno done earlier this month (248HP/210TQ [Mustang]) on my 7AT. I'm just doing K&N drop ins for now cause intakes haven't proven to give enough gains to warrant $500 right now. I'm going to Vivid Racing this monday to get a 2nd dyno done with just the drop ins.

I'm on order for the F.I. LTH's and CBE, after I get back from getting that installed, I'll be going back to Vivid for another dyno. I'm not sure if I'll want to get it tuned after that, or throw on the lightweight pulleys too and get it tuned after that.

Basically Vivid and I wanna document the whole build to see how each part effects the HP/TQ ratings... Should be interesting to see...

The Stillen V3's have proven gains on my dyno over 20whp!!....I think thats value for dollar at 500 bux....

So even if someone has already done CAI, CBE, and HFC's, but later wants to do NST pulley's, they should wait to get the tune until the pulley's are done? I was thinking pulley's really wouldn't effect the tune.

Were there any other mods?

Which Dyno were they on?

The Gen 3's are probably what I will go with, but for now, I'm just doing the drop ins...
