370Z AccessPORT Price Drop!

I just wanted to let you guys know that we have dropped the price on the AccessPORT. All models have had the price reduced, however, the new price for all Nissan/Infinity models (less the GT-R) is $495!

We are continuing to develop the 370Z platform and we will continue to bring new features online as time goes on.

Prices have been adjusted on our site. Great move by Cobb. Thank you.

Any progress on providing new maps with the accessport? I know there a plenty of people who would prefer an enhanced map set rather than go get a custom tune...

COBB Tuning 02-02-2010 04:29 PM

We are still working on the VVL system. This is a very hard nut to crack, and until we do we are holding off on maps for this car. However, you will still be able to use AccessTUNER Race or get a ProTune to tune your car.

As soon as COBB gets advanced maps ready and loaded on the AP from the get go instead of getting a custom tune I will purchase one, until that time I am holding off.

Cobb - Is this a promotional price or should we expect this for a while?

1slow370 02-03-2010 03:20 AM

does "working on the VVEL" mean you are also cracking the CVTC? FOR SURE YOU ARE GOING TO CRACK THE VVEL? and will i be able tune it with The access race tuning software you have?

Anything that we figure out for the VVEL will be included in AccessTUNER Race.

I have support for it in the Software and AccessPORT firmware, but I don't have any performance maps.

Can anyone tell me what kind of HP you would be able to extract with The Cobb? Kind of unclear about what it actually does. Any and all input would be appreciated.

1slow370 02-12-2010 08:15 PM

what id does it lets you change how the engine runs. so you can advance timing for more more power correct the air fuel ratio for more power and tune to safely run aftermarket parts. You can use a cobb accesport to control a turbocharged engine as well (AAM uses it) so it is something that as you continue to modify the car you can continue to use to keep it running right. Right now if your car is stock it shows around a 10-15hp gain if you have bolt-ons it varies on how well it was tunned. You would want to buy the cobb unit then take it to a shop and pay them to optimize your tune right now.

So say you supercharge your car and it's running like crap, you tune it with the accesport and get it to run right and you could gain hundreds of horsepower. If your car is stock you might get no hp gain you might get a little bit like 10hp

Full bolt-on's with Cobb here.....I gained a whopping 7 whp.....and it was tuned by AAM.

1slow370 02-12-2010 10:04 PM

that falls in the 0-10 you just need the supercharger man.

Did you feel the gains throughout the RPM range though? Unlike the CBE and Intakes which seem to have more improvements top end, I am hoping the tune helps low end too...
