How do I know if my knock sensor is disabled

I remember there being big arguments and lots of accusations against tuners doing this a couple years ago. I’m getting my car tuned and am having some issues with everything. I have now become concerned that this is a possibility after a third party took a look at a log of mine. I’m just wondering if i can tell if the sensor has been disabled simply by looking at an ecutec data log.

One dead giveaway is if the knock threshold is crossed but the ECU does not retard timing.

Plot Knock Sensor Cyl# vs Knock Threshold Cyl# - this should be plotted for the duration of a 15 or 20 minute drive where engine RPM and engine Load are varied. Whoever reviewed your log should be able to provide you with an explanation while going over the data with you. You can also find a complete log review service available here:
