Getting ready to buy a very low mileage 2016 7AT Z. It has this button in it. What is that? Should I be excited or nervous. I thought the car was 100% stock until I noticed. Does it affect the warranty?

Did you try pressing it?

No, I saw it in the dealers pictures after I got home. I didn't notice it on the test drive.

Great info, thanks for doing the research I should've done!

My question is can I have it uninstalled and has it voided the warranty ion any way.

So it's like a JDM adjustable sprint booster....

I the dealer is willing to sell you the warranty, I would point it out and ask the question. If they balk at covering something throttle related under warranty with it installed, then make them remove it before the sale. Of course, they might still be able to deny your warranty claim based on their knowledge that it was installed at one point. Depends on the dealer.

Well it's not a Nissan dealer. So I'm wondering if I have it removed, will a Nissan dealer be able to tell that it was even there. The car's a 2016, so it has 2 yrs of warranty left, which I'd like to have.

Since you're not buying it from a Nissan dealer, you're probably fine if you want to have it removed. As long as they remove all traces of the install.

Personally, I'd keep it. If someone tries to deny your warranty, unless they can prove the Apexi modification caused it, you can push back. And the throttle response on these cars is pretty lackluster from the factory without a tune.

Since installation only involves unplugging/replugging a few wiring connectors and a console blank, removal should be very easy with no tell-tale signs that it was ever installed. Unless the installer did something stupid.
