Dynosty - Review / Results / Experience

Yesterday I had my car down at Dynosty in Louisville Kentucky to be tuned. I originally found them as they were the closest "Master Tuner" for ECUTek on ECUTek's website. Their website seemed ok, and I spoke with another member here who had used them who had all positive things to say. I asked a few questions over the phone and they took the time to answer all my questions and scheduled my tune.

Since it was early in the morning, I did show up a bit early, but the shop was still open and in a decent location. It really was a great experience. I spoke with Logan for a bit. Hal did my tuning, and he came out, and I talked to him about asked him some more questions. He explained some options to me, as well as made some suggestions. Took down some notes and went to work.

Overall it was an excellent experience. The shop is a very professional place. I've seen some "fly-by-night" places, this is NOT that. This is a very nice establishment. They have a large shop area, they have a little show room, they have a waiting area. I would definitely recommend them. The entire experience was very impressive.

As for my tune. Peak HP at the wheels I gained 13 HP. My AFR wasn't off by as much as I thought it was going to be. However the power really isn't the biggest thing. If I bought another car and didn't do any modifications, I'd go get it tuned again. The throttle response is night and day different. The way the car drives is completely different. So in that aspect alone it was money well spent.

I guess that would have been helpful information... The basic stuff, Stillen G3 Intake, Berk HFC, Fast Intentions (non-resonated) CBE.

Picking mine up tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!

They've had it all week and I'm pretty excited to get it back.:excited::excited::excited::excited::excited: :excited:

Did you see those Volks they had for sale? If they were gunmetal I'd have bought them on the spot.

The Gold ones? They would look good one my car. I asked about them, but they were G35 / 350Z wheels so I assumed the backspacing would not be ideal for a 370Z.

I didn't ask that. I just asked the diameter. Good price though.

Got my car back today and what a difference! My neighbors will hate me.
Not sure what my HP is, but I know it is lower than I was hoping for. 115,000 miles tends to lower the peak. Still enough to get in trouble.

Edit: Dyno sheet.

Had mine there the Tuesday before ZdayZ. I too had a great experience with Logan and Hal. If you look at my signature, you'll see what mods I have with the HP/TQ numbers from Dynosty...

They will offer your normal/base map, a 3k launch (read rev limiter) map with flat foot shifting and then valet mode (not truly a map).

From there you can request more maps that meet your need.

do you need to ask for a sharper, more responsive throttle or is that a default benefit of EcuTek?

The launch control and flat foot shifting is an option for the cars that have SyncrhoRev (SRM). The launch control is adjustable, you can set it at any RPM you want at any time up or down, with the cruise control switch, it's not a map. The valet mode, you can specify your own options, if you have special requests, I did.

It's just default benefit.
