Keep cable after tune?

I was just curious if you guys are keeping your ecutek cable/dongle after tuning. Is there a good reason to keep it versus selling it?

Assuming you did a remote tune? You might want to keep it in case you add a mod and need to touch up the tune.

You don't have a poll option for "Bought it"

I got a drive tune several years ago from a local tuner when EcuTek was new to the platform. But I only just bought a cable a few months ago - my plan is to get a second opinion on the tune and the updated RACEROM features from Seb at Specialty Z.

Also, the cable works well as a code reader :twocents:

You should always keep it. Otherwise, how would you datalog or clear codes?

Unless you will never add any more mods AND don't care about monitoring/logging (very valuable when troubleshooting), keep it.

My $15 Bluetooth adapter clears codes just fine. I guess the ability to datalog could be useful, although I don't anticipate any more power mods any time soon.

I'll hold on to it, thanks for the replies.
