EcuTek help

Hi,

Recently had my 370z NISMO mapped and i'm just wondering if anyone knows if all the features advertised should be mapped in already. I've been playing around this evening and the traction control adjustments seem to work correctly however the adjustable launch control doesn't seem to work which makes me not want to try the flat floor shifting.

Is it something as simple as having the option ticked by my tuner or is there just a problem with my tune ?

Thanks in advance :hello:

Couple question who tuned it? Did they explain all features too you? Best questions could be answered by the tuner shop what all they did with the tune.

umm a tuner over here in England. And no the features weren't explained at the time, we were just told after the car had been pulled off the dyno and after the initial test-drive that many other things can be later programmed into this system regarding adding additional parts such as a new intake or adjustments to various other maps.

Its just that from what I've read on forums and other web pages i thought the features would have already been mapped into the software. Where would you say i stand in contacting the tuner and questioning why these features haven't been added into my map? Would I have to pay for more dyno time or should i just have to take the car back and have the map updated so the features can be activated?

You should figure out what package you purchased with this tune, you are describing features but have not placed a name on what software the tune was performed with, for what price or even how long it took, we know you had the car tuned in England somewhere but at what shop. Please elaborate

He used ecutek.. Says that on the thread title. I am pretty sure these features need to be enabled by your tuner. They didn't go over any of this with you?

No dyno time, required. Just need features to be activated. Generally you activate launch control by 1st turning on sport mode 2nd turning off VDC 3rd clutch and gas pedal all the way in simultaneously. Then the rpm goes up you can adjust were it's at with cruise selector

The shop was TDi North, and was the EcuTek software like mentioned in the title. The mapping licence and remap was £500 and as it took a while to find a base map we were there around 3 hours.

Just went through how to change the maps over via the cruise control and a little talk about the traction control feature. It sounds like it was partly my fault for not asking about the other things before we paid but the weather was appalling so it was almost impossible to test such functions safely on the road.

Thanks :D

When i was trying it last night, once i first gear the car revs to redline and the cruise control did nothing. The only kinda of limiter I get is when in neutral and won't rev above 5000rpm

That neutral rev limiter is normal for 6MTs. I'd give the shop a call and confirm the features were programmed in during the tune.
