- We purchased UpRev years ago. Found it extremely poor on the Nissan stuff.
- Zero new development, zero new features
- Ended up purchasing ECUTek which had a real timing map, advanced features.
- ECUTek works great, gets great praise for their system and their features
- Months/years later UpRev starts releasing similar updates just on the G37/370Z platform (don't see it on the 350Z... lolz?).

Even worse my UpRev dongle hasn't worked for almost a year in any computer I plug it into, so I can't even recoup my cost on the licenses.

I couldn't care less about their reasons or their excuses.

At the end of it all, I'm out thousands of dollars on the UpRev software and regret my decision to purchase their "solution". I'll continue to share my opinion on the subject whenever I feel like it, as I was an UpRev customer and am not even remotely pleased with their software or their support.

Good luck with that slander defense though.

Whoops didnt mean to quote.

I have ecutek and have really liked it, that said I am just learning tuning (on an entirely different platform) and can say one thing reading the new uprev software update is the ign map is adjustable real time!. If I were a tuner that would be a major convenience and something I don't think ecutek (or any other flash based tuner program) can do.

Not forgiving any previous uprev disappointments as I would feel burned too but nice to see a competitor to keep the platform active (since we don't get as much support as honda/Subaru/gtr). Kinda sad the 370z is kind of the red head step child of the performance world (limited software support as well as suspension mods, either budget or $$$ no in between) even though it is awesome cost per performer.

Our car is on our MoTeC M1 conversion now. Everything is live. I'll never go back to a stock ECU in the car, especially being we've got a turbo car. It was nice to have ECUTek when it was on the factory ECU, the results were quite good and involved no hassle.

Yea I saw yours and it is bad *** but I would not say it would be in the norm of what most would go. So for a flash based tuner software to have instant timing control I could see that being a very nice touch.

if I'm allowed to speak my opinion; by looking over datalogs of the previous tune and seeing the ignition advance the car ran at the time you are able to make your old timing table.

Ok, you are saying that the conversion is a simple work, very simple....

Simple at point that Uprev reply that:
"There is no other way around it you must re tune if you want the other 4 maps to have different timing tables."

...and my tuner is milking me...

I don't know, but I have a little doubt about it...

Why Uprev does not promote a conversion service? Even for just 50$??

If you'd like to call me I'll be happy to give you a more in depth explanation over the phone.

Jon at Z1 was able to do this without me having to be retuned. So it can be done.

We have been trying to contact you this week, we would like to address the frustrations your having with our software as well as the issue with your cable, so that we can get it straightened out for you. Have you tried downloading the latest software from our support page: UPREV SUPPORT. There has been firmware and software updates since your original buy-in in 2014 including bug fixes and new features. And the ARC features have been released for not only the VHR platform but also the 350Z, Revup and HR engines.

It would have been nice to get a chance to fix things for you, we think you would be much happier with our software now. Also, despite your opinion, after hiring more developers, we have heard great feedback for our pro tuners and dealers about our improvements, and we're actually getting a lot of customers that are switching from ECUTek to UpRev for our live tuning, and better launch control and flat-foot shifting (which works on all models, including base models!), rolling anti-lag, and burnout mod features, as well as our ARC features including simplified timing for the 1MB 2008 G37 which they don't support racing features for. You can check out our Facebook page for links on some of the successes we've had.

Bumping this because I am extremely frustrated with UpRev right now...

bernbad89: I have been avoiding the UpRev updates because my software has been running smoothly. But the updater ran, and now the software doesn't detect my cable. What can I do to get it to work? Right now, my car is dead and blocking in all the other cars in the driveway. I need to move it! Please help.

Good news! :driving::driving::driving:

I just download the last one update (I don't download it every week....)

I've seen that your old tune return accessibile!

Not operative, but accessible to read the cells and copy to the main map!

Unfortunately, the utility to export the ROM to copy all tunes to a new one was removed.

Note: in this version a new firmware is installed on the cable.

Solved: WARNING with new UpRev update, you loose your tune!

Question: I just had a Transmissions cooler installed on my 2013, Automatic, Uprev tuned Z, My Z felt very bit of the 300 whp and 275 torque that it was dyno-ed at when first tuned. Now all the gears are flat 1 though 5 -- My question, can they some how may have deleted my tune ??????
