Just buy a used iPhone that you can leave in the car

Data logging is as simple as answering a call, no laptop or cables!

Many other functions.

You need to buy the Ecutek proprietary bluetooth dongle though right? I have a Kiwi3 which is excellent but don't think it will work with the app. Seems I saw pricing before on their dongle and it was pretty spendy.

Bit ironic that the bluetooth app only works on apple products, but you need a PC to flash the tune in the first place! :p

Wireless logging would be sweet. Especially if it would remember what parameters you set instead of having to deselect a whole bunch every time.

This, you would think it they would want to make available for both platforms!

Double checked and it won't even detect the Kiwi bluetooth when pairing, so it's the Ecutek only one for sure... and it retails for $350!

Hotrodz 01-22-2017 10:55 AM

Well...I will be waiting on that little piece of technology!

More disimile; "each ECU Connect Vehicle Interface Kit comprises the Bluetooth Vehicle Interface, a mini-USB cable, a quick-start guide and EcuTek decals."

Mini usb isn't compatible with apple iOS products either... :roll eyes:

It does remember all the parameters you select or that your tuner wants you to log.

They are working on several more options including flashing the ECU from this device.

When I first purchased they did not have boost control via iPhone slider and now they do! I am sure more is coming

So you think it is worth the $350 price tag for the dongle?

I already have what is supposed to to be best dongle that was $100, unfortunately this app isn't compatible with it - won't even show up in the list when trying to pair. Wonder if my other apps would recognize the Ecutek dongle. I'd hate to need two different dongles and switch between them.

I saw this on SZ's insta (the ecutek bluetooth [bt] dongle. Do you have one? I was really interested in what it can do- parameters etc. But reading through the comments, it looks like hes still trying to get some work done for the Z. Possible you can explain a little bit of what it can do?
