ReTuning necessary?

Hi guys and girls!

I'm just wondering if anyone can answer a quick question for me since i couldn't find an answer searching around.

I'm currently tuned with UpRev and my mods are; SRI, non-res test pipes and exhaust. Ill be switching intakes from my SRI's to the Stillen gen 3 intakes and am wondering if this will require me needing a re-tune!?

Thanks in advanced!

No, and yes.. If you want the most out of your new intake then yes. But if you decide not to retune it won't hurt anything... Just my $0.02

Thank you for the insight!

I have all breather mods with no tune and dyno'd pretty high for a 7AT.

The tune gives you more than just power though

Do you know what AFR you are running at WOT from 6k and up. I'd love to know how lean it gets if you've monitored that on a stock tune with multiple breather mods.

As per Wonka2581, probably not. You may lose a few ponies but there shouldn't be enough difference between the two intakes that the ECM can't compensate. Your butt dyno will probably not notice.

Going by what I've read on here, the rule of thumb is: You can change the intake without needing a (re)tune. You can change the exhaust without needing a (re)tune. If you change both, you need a (re)tune. YMMV
