flat foot shifting on ecutek for non sport pkg

Does anyone know if you can use flat foot shifting on a non sport pkg 370? Sebastian said I should be able to use it regardless but on the ecutek website it says synchrorev models only. I emailed ecutek and their also saying it should work regardless.. Very confused

Update, the racerom configuration for ecutek also says synchorevodels only for the launch control yet it works for my touring.

Yeah, it should work just fine. It has nothing to do with syncrorev match.

Do you mind giving me a quick run down of how you use it?
Excuse me if im horribly mistaken but I was in 3rd gear, 50mph, floored it, (while still flooring it) clutched in, as soon as the clutch went in the rpm shot up to max redline... my question is, I thought the rpm should be held at a certain point to allow quick transition between shifts? It was redlining the **** out of my engine. Again apologies but I have not been told how to use it at all and there are no videos on it.

Depends on how Seb set it up. He walked me through it. It may be disabled on certain maps. You should speak with him directly.

It was raining heavy when he walked me through the features in person and I have been back and forth with him via e-mail but currently waiting on a response as he's pretty busy. I would imagine he set it up the same for both our cars.. mind telling me how he showed you?

The way Flat foot shifting was explained to me by Seb was Flat foot needs only the sport mode to be ON. VDC can be OFF or ON.

This function wants to see the clutch pedal pushed down while having a full throttle. You also use be over 40mph/kmh for it to work.

I have sport package as well and told him to only have it engage when sport mode is on so its going to be different for you. You need to be in the right map.

Yeah he told me it doesn't matter if I have sport pkg or not. When I'm flooring it and clutch in, do I just need to shift fast enough before the rev limiter bounces off? Or should it automatically hold at a certain rpm until I shift into the next gear? He enabled it for me but for some reason it doesn't seem to be working

Do you have stock clutch pedal? I had a little issue with getting it to engage because i put in the rjm clutch pedal and didn't have the clutch sensor buttons set right.

Patrickz34 04-13-2016 02:16 AM

Yeah I'm using stock pedal bro. I see you live in Riverside too :O Maybe we can meet up and you can see if you can get it working on my car?

lj909 04-13-2016 10:15 AM

Yeah we could meet up and i could show you how it's supposed to work on my car then maybe we can see what's up with your car.

Ask Seb if it's on all the time or if it's only on in certain maps

sub, non sport interested in this feature. i was told it didn't work as well
