How do I log Ignition Correction?
 

My tuner told me to send a log of the ignition correction i'm running right now.

I have ECUtek cable and software / laptop.

What do i need to send?

I'm not too sure, but my cousin's co-worker's friend said that you must make sure the box is checked for "Ignition Correction," which will be one of the logged parameters under the "Live Data" tab, which itself is under the "Map Access" tab. Then click "Log to File," which is just to the right of the "Map Access" tab. At this point, you can begin logging your data, I think. After your data log is complete, save it to your computer as either a .csv or .xls file (he wasn't sure which). This is what you will send your tuner.

Seeing KR also :( The ignition correction is how much timing the car is pulling :/
I myself would like to know what the calc'd ignition timing means.

It's probably the base timing+advance+(-KR and other corrections). Essentially its the finally number the engine is using for timing once it accounts for everything. That's just a guess though based on other software I've used.

Ignition Timing Calculated is from the factory ignition timing map that is based on flame front speed and cylinder pressure. Without an Ecutek tune this is what the ignition timing would be. In an Ecutek tune the Ignition Timing Calculated values are bypassed and the timing tables generated by your tuner are substituted.



Corrections are added to (or subtracted from) either table.
