Neeeed!! Swapping to Ecutek when the turbos come....:stirthepot:

This looks like it could be a game changer especially with the launch control, flat foot shifting, and all the other features.

Shoot me a pm sometime with what you would need to make it worth your time. I'm nowhere near ready to make a switch just yet, but now that ecutek has come through it's back on the table for me.

I could probably move forward with the new features sooner, but I'm in no rush (it's been 2 years at this point so what's the hurry). Let me know what kind of time table you're looking at if you think about moving forward on having John make a trip down.

I may have to make a switch to EcuTek in the future. I really hate that they don't have an end user type deal though.

Ecutek is always accepting qualified tuners.

What I can tell you is I've been doing this type of Nissan tuning with ecutek on GTR for several years, a lot of the stuff that's in this software is due to my Involvement behind the scenes... Any skilled tuner can pick up this suite and tune your car but it's going to take a while for them to get a handle on the very advanced custom map stuff that some of us have been using on a daily basis for years.

I do make trips, need my expenses covered and some money in my pocket to make it worth it.. The more cars you have the cheaper it'll be per car.

I'm defiantly down to make a trip

So is it available for other tuners to get your suite or is this something you're looking at in the future. I see there is an off the shelf and a custom. Is the custom something that I can let my personal tuner adjust or is it still just data logging my dyno and street and then sending that data to you? Then you send me back the maps? I'm looking for a tuner software that my local tuner can adjust that has cracked vvel that's obviously not uprev. Like you've already said even if I get the same numbers the possibilities and options with yours is going to be 100x better. However If it's all done by e-mail or in house vs with my local tuner we can spend hours data logging making fine adjustments etc. I believe that most people would agree this is a better and even more realistic alternative. If people start buying this up like candy the support times are just going to start going further and further out due to the increase in customer base and lack of support on your end? I'm just being blunt if I'm about to drop around a grand on something I want it to be mine and not something I have to try and reach out to someone states away to try and get my maps done unless I run into a problem. Then I would want to reach out not before.

i think it will take some time for tuners to get used to this as majority have been using uprev for years.

NefariousZ34 05-27-2015 10:15 PM

Yes but is it end user at all is the real question

visconti 05-27-2015 10:21 PM

No it's ProTuner only.. Not end user

John, is this update available immediately or are they still rolling it out?

conor1123 05-28-2015 11:24 AM

Noticed that flat foot is only available for the sports package models, is this true for launch control also?

Yes, only for sport models, but launch control has been working on both.

Has something to do with the clutch switch.

Can someone confirm that they can correct Rev matching after swapping differential gears?

I have a load cell in the gear-lever of my sequential gear box (which will go into the Z34 at some stage) ... can I use this to trigger ignition/fuel cut so I can change up without lifting off the throttle ?? Is there any way I can feed this signal into the OEM ECU and EcuTek manage fuel/ignition cut

I was thinking I'd need Motec/Haltech for flat-shift ..........
