Are they nuts?!

UPREV $400 (I think or a hair more). They already have a 370z ECU and will probably release it in the next few weeks.

I just did the conversion, 184,800 yen = $2,015.50

This is nuts. way overpriced.

dude swap, then get an interior from tunerD, then get a full exhaust from Specialtyz, doolz intake from ash, upgraded intercoolers, MSP manifolds and GT2860'rs the same turbos that the R34 N1 has, and some wheels and suspension and you'll be happy as a lark.;)

and much faster than a 370Z, look better, older people will respect your Z because they know it's fast. and your resale value if you keep it in good condition will be about 15k or more for years to come with all those mods.

which is more than i can say for older 350z's, or when the 370z gets a few years older.

Actually, my goal is to buy a 370z as my daily and convert my 300z to an electric car. It'd still be faster than it is (A LOT FASTER), and it's a great platform to do electric car conversions on. I wish it wasn't so heavy, but I'll end up doing some weight reduction on it.

Honestly, I want a new car, and now that I can afford it (I couldn't afford a new car when I bought my 300z) I can afford to keep both, and have 1 totally reliable daily driver and a project car too. :) Pretty much how I'd always want it.

Is it work with 370z nismo? How it's works? Is speed limit cancel?

I doubt anyone has gotten this. UpRev is the way to go for full custom tuning.

I believe AE Performance is running this on their track vehicle. You're right on UpRev though- many more tuners have the ability to tune via UpRev vs. VX-ROM.

I didn't see this mentioned in the thread yet, but remember, in Japan the standard octane in gas is much higher than even the most premium North American gas.

This was discussed on a GTR forum, namely the JDM R32-R34 GTR's that were being brought over to Canada and the US in droves. JDM ECU tunes will be operating on the basis that you're running Japanese fuel, not North American fuel. You'd have to re-tune the tune to adjust for the Octane deficiency!

JDM Tunes are not only dangerous to use on USDM-bound but Japanese-made vehicles, but they are entirely ridiculous given the access to reasonably priced ECU tunes on our shores.

My advice, take it or not, is that a Mine's or any other companies ECU tune, be it piggyback or reflash will eventually ruin your car, even if you're running 94 octane. Seriously look into ROM Octane conversion charts before buying a JDM Ecu Tune!!!

Bringing this back from the dead to further discussion about the Mine's VX Rom.

I think it's important to note that the quoted information is completely false as the octane ratings in Japan are not directly comparable to our own here in the states.
( RON Octane Rating x 0.95 = AKI Octane Rating )
98 RON Octane x 0.95 = 93.1 AKI Octane (US measure)
100 RON Octane x 0.95 = 95 AKI Octane (US measure)

Also, has anyone at all used this rom? I have been unable to find any other company who actually tunes the VVEL... I imagine this is where a lot of power can be had.

It says that it does. I'm only going off their website.

no they can't they list a generic header for all z's hence the cvtc, evtc comments as our car doesn't have evtc it pretty generic and is really just a reflash of basic things uprev is superior.

Weak. Well, maybe I should wait for Smokey Nagata to come back into town and tune my ****. Then I can have a cookie cutter tune and pay an exorbitant amount of money.
Yeah, UpRev is the way to go.
