Nothing yet, they are buttoning every thing up this week and getting it out on the street for testing. No slicks yet, but I will say one of the greatest benefits of the Haltech (as the driver--MANY others for the tuner) is the fact that it is tuned for traction through every gear:tup: Obviously at high boost traction is still going to be hard to achieve, but at low boost the benefits are great.

Are you shooting to be fast or quick?

lol you can say what you WANT as you had them construct your build its understandable that you would defend them. If there is a sure fire answer to what happened to my car then please, by all means bring Hal over here and have him explain to me what happened! rather than sending me an email telling me they are cutting off any and all contact with me after being questioned for answers and threated by legal council from the lack there-of.
The proof is in the pudding my engine was pre ignited from a power level slightly higher than a bolt on N/A car AND on e85 with 4psi of boost tapering to 7psi. At least, from the dyno graph he showed me. I have nothing to hide I tore that engine down and around EVERY corner I took a picture to prove I was pulling no punches, but as far as I'm concerned the man can tune a standalone like a champ; but run, and run far if you're looking for a boosted VQ37VHR UpRev tune.

on another note. seriously, congrats on the build i'm happy that it actually pulled through for someone though especially being a fellow z34 owner

I have a honest question. Why are people doing e85 tunes? Why not tune a car for c17 or even q16 race gas? Wouldn't race gas be a hell lot better than e85?

bullitt5897 02-02-2015 01:19 PM

Because you can get e85 at some gas stations... Also c17 is hella expensive and you have to order 50gal drums to get anywhere decent of a price.

Rid3_FaM0uS 02-02-2015 02:32 PM

^definitely this reason. I've heard race had prices anywhere from 13-17$ a gallon whereas I can go to my local ethanol pump 10 minutes down the road and have "race gas equivalent" pump gas for $2.85/gal

E85 is like 105 octane for MOAR boost

It's $1.99!at my local station right meow :driving:

Rid3_FaM0uS 02-02-2015 03:22 PM

Well I haven't had to price it since the petrol plummet as I'd be asking for a death wish driving that car right now BUT you get the point :D

37winner 02-02-2015 03:25 PM

I'll stick with race gas. Only live once.

Dynosty did an amazing job with my Nismo, I heard nothing but good things about them and what I was told was 100% true they know their stuff. I continue to go there and would recommend them to anyone looking to beef up their car game.

I would be asking the other question... why would you run race gas when you can run E85? Unless E85 is not in your area, I see no reason to deal with the hassle of race gas... you can fill your tank 7-8 times with E85 for the cost of a single fill up with race gas. You can get it at gas stations, rather than dealing with shipping and storing 55 gallon drums, and you make just as much power.

Why the heck not run E85?
