Track pads for AP Racing Calipers w/ Nitto NT01

Looking for a recommendation for brake pads for the AP Racing BBK, 5700 6 piston calipers in front and 3751 4 piston calipers in rear. Tires will be Nitto NT01. Car is driven 90% on track and very limited street (to/from local track, rare weekend car club cruise). I currently use Carbotech XP10 front and XP8 rear on the stock akebono sports brakes. Thanks for your help guys!

Sorry for the off topic... what size Nittos do you use?

Since the car sees road use, I would not use an outright race pad - 50 miles on the road can destroy your expensive rotors.

Suggest Ferodo DS2500 (old-school) or the DS-One follow-on (I have never purchased these so my knowledge is sketchy) , or perhaps Project Mu HC800.

I'm not familiar with some of the US brands but I am sure you won't be short of advice.

Just swap out pads between street and track. It's easy enough to take the wheels off, pop out 2 pins per caliper and do a quick bedding procedure.

Have you checked the replacement cost for the ap rotors!, you don't want to be prematurely wearing them out.

I use the ds2500 on the street only and they dust like a mofo. I have a set of race pads (that look like solid metal) and will swapping them at the track.

It looks like you're mostly done! I've run that same brake pad setup for years, across several vehicles.

To my knowledge they do not make carbotech pads for the AP racing kit for the 370z. I was thinking Hawk DTC-60 and DTC-30 but they don't make a 30 for the AP racing rear calipers. I could run DTC-70 front, DTC-60 rear but i'm worried that aggressive of a pad on the rear may induce ice mode..

Send them some old pads, they can make t for you

Sweet idea - i had no idea they could do that. For now I have chosen to run Mintex F3R in the front and Mintex Extreme Sport in the rear. I wish they made F6R for the rear but alas they do not for the AP Racing kit. I saw wstar tried DTC-70/DTC-60 and ended up with ice mode so I'm glad I opted against that combo.

You will probably get ice mode with anything more than xp8
