The Valkyrie 370Z lives on! Testing this weekend at Sonoma Raceway (In-car Video!)

Anyone who might have seen the for sale thread, Valkyrie Autosport has purchased the Shamu 370Z project car and will be continuing its development.

If testing goes well this weekend at Sonoma Raceway, the car will be entered to compete against the likes of Porsche GT3 Cup's, Vipers, Corvettes, and more in the ST1 class at the NASA West Coast Championship November 9'th.

Hope to see some local 370Z fans, but we will also be running two 350Z's running in Spec Z trim for the 350Z fans out there.

Congrats! That is by far one of the most bad A$$ 370s on any road. Are you guys still using the same ECU or did you change to something else?

JWillis72 10-23-2014 01:23 PM

After all that time and money I can't imagine selling it, glad to see it fights on!

We are using the M600 that we changed to after the AEM Infinity. The car already ran well at Laguna Seca, despite a completely horrid spring rate setup, which has been fixed.

What made Shamu decide to sell the car?

Rangerz 10-23-2014 05:48 PM

Brian did you make the front intake vanes? I haven't seen those on a Nismo nose.

No better owner than the shop that built it. Happy to see it ended up in the right hands

Nope, that is a stock NISMO nose. I assume you were asking about the 350Z.

I had no idea it was for sale, until I looked for the original build thread that I can't find. I'm glad to see that this excellent car build will live on.

The weekend went pretty well, great data to move forward, and a part we have now proved not up to the challenge :). Head over to the Valkyrie facebook page for the weekend update.
