Discovery Parts - Fuel Safe Complete Pro Cell Steel Container |
Well, only my second HPDE event so I never thought this would happen to me, but yep fuel starve at a bit less than 3/4 tank. Damn even the newbies can get this car to fuel starve!
|
^ yup, it's not hard on the track, even on street tires. My rule of thumb now is to top off the tank every other session at HPDE's.

Not enough room forward of that bracing, up against it, with all the interior gone?

I'd imagine he'll run a proper fuel filler hose out to the stock gas door location. Other than when working on the fuel system itself, it should be sealed all the time in the interior and not leaking/splashing/etc :).

I just want to say what a great product Phunk has made. It's helped me tremendously...
...in my wildest fantasies. The only thing worse than having no good solution to a problem is having someone dangle magical carrots in front of you and never deliver. Ridiculous. |

Maybe it's just me but on my 2012 I don't hit it until I get to 1/2 tank. Been tracking at bigwillowspring and button so there's tons of long right hard turns.

FYI....we removed the OEM saddle tanks and replaced it with our own Doran design fuel cell and it is a return system.

So, on the first page of this thread (2+ years ago) someone suggested fuel cell foam. Has anyone tried/investigated filling the left side of the tank with fuel cell foam, or creating a barrier in the middle of the tank with fuel cell foam?
